Just a reminder that today is the last day to order a yearbook and guarantee that your child will get a yearbook! See the info below to order.

Just a reminder that the district is holding another Community Conversation on Wednesday, March 6th to discuss the feasibility of a possible four-day school week. See the details below.

Monday and Tuesday students will be taking the Spring NWEA tests. Monday will be ELA and Tuesday will be Math. Please remind your child to charge their Chromebooks this weekend as well as Monday evening.

Issues with Cologne/Perfume

Recently we have had issues with students spraying cologne/perfume in the hallways and classrooms. This is not allowed due to the impacts it has on our many students who have respiratory issues. Please have a conversation with your child and do not allow them to bring them to school. Students caught spraying cologne/perfume at school will be subject to discipline. We appreciate your support to help rectify this ongoing issue.

Fox C-6 Community Conversation

In an effort to research the feasibility of a potential four-day school week in the Fox C-6 School

District, I would like to invite you to a community conversation to start the dialogue regarding a

four-day school week.

The next installment is coming up on Wednesday, March 6th at the Service Center at 6:00. Dr. Dale Herl, Superintendent of the Independence School District will join us via live stream at the Service Center. His district is comparable in size to Fox C-6, and they just made the transition to four-day school weeks this school year. He will talk about the challenges and successes that they have experienced so far. There will have comment and question sheets to fill out at that meeting as well.

Spring Break Reminder

Just a reminder that school will not be in session starting March 25th through 29th for Spring Break. It will also not be in session April 1st for Teacher Professional Development (8am - 11am) and Parent Teacher Conferences (12:30pm - 7pm) and April 2nd.

Tooth Titan Dental Van @ RMS

Ridgewood has partnered with Compass Health Network to bring onsite dental services to RMS through the mobile dental program Tooth Titans! Today during your child's AcLab, they received a consent form that would need to filled out completely if interested in taking advantage of this great opportunity! The form is also attached below. Once completed please send the form back to your child's AcLab teacher.

CHADS COALITION AT RMS

In an effort to reduce depression and suicide among our students, our school has invited CHADS Coalition for Mental Health to deliver the evidence-based Signs of Suicide® (SOS®) program during one class period. The evidence-based program is designed to help students recognize the symptoms of depression or warning signs of suicide in themselves or their friends and teach them the appropriate action steps they should take to get help. This presentation is in line with the grade level curriculum for Health/Physical Education classes and has been approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

CHADS will be visiting with our 6th grade students on February 22nd and our 8th grade students February 29th during their social studies class. For more information on the program or how to opt out, please follow the link below:
