Sunrise Family Updates

Happy Friday! It has been a busy week for us! The students did a great job on our field trip yesterday and have adapted really well to relocating our playground to the small field behind the gym for now. The project should be complete in early October, with the equipment arriving next week.

Thank you for all who came to our Sunrise Orientation last night! If you missed it, thank you for checking your child's red folder for any hand-outs which teachers will then send home.

Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) Classes at Sawyer

Sawyer School has teamed up with the United Way to offer Positive Parenting Classes (Triple P) intermittently throughout the school year.

Classes will take place at Sawyer School from 4:30-5:30pm. After-school childcare will be offered as well as dinner for all family members starting at 4:00pm.

More information will be coming home in red folders soon, but in the meantime the class sessions dates for the first semester are listed below:

September 24th-Power of Positive Parenting

October 22nd-Raising Confident, Competent, Children

November 25th -Raising Resilient Children

As part of the DCA Passport Program, students will get in free for Alash's performance tonight, with only $10 for adult family members of the students. SO cool!
