Reese Winners at CA State Invention Convention!
our very own Gwen and Addi entered their invention in the California State Invention Convention. Students who entered were from schools all over the Northern and Central California region. Students ranged from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The Convention was held at the CA Railroad Museum last Saturday.
This past Friday night there was a virtual awards ceremony. Addi and Gwen were Merit Winners. This award is given to students in each grade level whose inventions are deemed by the judges to be exemplary for the grade and age level. There were 3 given out to each grade level. One of the John Muir students was also a Merit Winner.
There were 6 inventions that were invited to compete in the National Invention Convention.

Positive Behavior Intervention Focus of the Week
The Reese 23
Rules To Live By At School And In Life
The Reese 23 is a set of principles that can help guide personal behavior to foster a positive and productive environment.
This week, as a class, Roadrunners will:
1. review the Reese 23 and select one Rule that resonates the most with them.
2. reflect on why they chose this rule and think about its significance and how it can be applied in daily life.
3. define how they plan to incorporate this rule into their daily routine.
4. create specific, manageable goals for practicing this rule each day.
5. reflect at the end of the week and ask: What did we learn?
