Wildcat Weekly 1/20-1/24

Hi Wildcats! ๐พ
Hi Wildcats!
We had a great week and our Wildcats really enjoyed our Career Day event. Students had the opportunity to learn about first responder careers and explore their vehicles on the field. In the MPR, students were able to visit with many local community members and learn about their careers including a dentist, orthodontist, comic book illustrator, scientist, and many more. Thank you to Sarah Rieth and Andrea Chamberlin-Rodriguez for all of your hard work to organize such a fun and meaningful Career Day!
Just a reminder, there is no school on Monday, 1/20, in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Please also mark your calendar that there is no school on Monday, 1/27, for a district-wide professional growth day.

Continuing Student Family Survey
DUE by January 26th
It is hard to believe it but our district has already begun planning for the 2025-2026 school year! In an effort to help us provide the most accurate information about the number of students who will be returning next year, please complete THIS SURVEY no later than Sunday, January 26, 2025. This will provide us with the number of returning students as well as those who will be leaving Pomerado Elementary and will ensure that your child(ren) is enrolled correctly for the 2025-2026 school year. Please submit one form per student.
Families do not need to complete the form for current 5th-grade students because they will be automatically enrolled in 6th-grade at their school of residence. This is NOT considered continuing student registration. Continuing student registration will take place February 28th - March 31st and needs to be completed for ALL students enrolled in PUSD for the 2024-2025 school year. Visit PUSD Continuing Student Registration for more information.

Re-Wear Sale Is Returning
Pomerado is bringing back our Re-Wear Sale. The sale will take place on Thursday, February 6th from 9am-4pm in the MPR. To make this event a success, we are asking anyone in the community to donate gently used children's and adult clothing from January 28th-31st. Donations can be dropped off in the front office between 8am-3pm. All donations will be sold for $1 per item and the funds raised will directly support student learning and provide essential supplies for classrooms.
