Greetings Bulldog Families,

We had an AWESOME first 3 days back to school! Students have adjusted really well and seem ready to tackle the school year! Thank you to all of the families that attended Curriculum Night this week. Having you partner with us in your child's education is a key component in the success of your child.

I will send out a newsletter every Friday, celebrating and detailing the many events happening at Oak Prairie. The most current/new information can always be found at the top of the newsletter and regular/older information is down at the bottom.

Students received their IDs on the first day of school. IDs are required at all times throughout the building. Students will get one free ID replacement and the cost will be $5 for each following replacement ID.

Finally, if you're looking for a way to support the OP Staff, please use this link from the PFA to donate small items to be used for staff appreciation throughout the year.

Girls Basketball Tryouts are scheduled for:

• August 29th - Girls Basketball Tryouts - 6:15 - 7:30pm

• August 30th - Girls Basketball Tryouts - 2:30 - 4:00pm

All athletes must have a current physical from within the last 13 months to be eligible to participate in any athletic teams at Oak Prairie.

Powerschool becomes and very useful tool for parents of junior high students. Keep track of your child's progress, get alerts, and use your phone to have it at your fingertips. The code needed to use the app is FDFL.

Students must have their ID to pay for a school lunch.

You can add money to their ID by sending a cash or check to school or by using MySchoolBucks.

This week, the cross country team had its first meet of the season against Liberty, Manhattan, and Humphrey. The 6th grade girls, 6th grade boys, and 7th and 8th grade girls teams all won. The following runners placed individually in the top 3 of their races: Lucy Schroeder, Isabella Karas, Eli Zimmerman, Sam Wasilewski, Sadie Eissing, and Nate Kwasneski. The team competes at the Beecher Invite on Saturday.

Boys baseball is of to a hot start at 4-0.

Girls Softball has battled hard against some tough teams and they keep getting better every game!

Is your child in need of extra support with homework, studying, or reteaching? We will be starting SOS after school academic support on Tuesday, September 9th. SOS will run every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and students can take the activity bus home after SOS. Students must be recommended by the teacher for SOS and have permission to ride the Activity Bus. The Activity Bus Permission Slip must be on file with the office before a student is allowed to ride the bus.
