Webster Central School District
September 24, 2021
Dear Webster CSD Families,
I’ve had the privilege of visiting many of your children’s schools over the past two weeks (and three days!) of the 2021-22 school year. While the return to school does look different from past years, your children and our staff members have continued to display tremendous resilience in all that they do. Resilience is one of our district’s Essential Skills that guides everything we do: learning to grow stronger through life’s challenges. I know that the circumstances over the past 18+ months have certainly presented more challenges than any of us ever anticipated. I also know that it will take time for our students to adjust to a new school year and what that experience looks like for each of them.
Please know that our faculty and staff continue to support your children inside and outside the classroom. We know that caring for their physical and mental health is of critical importance as we begin this year together. Our district has shared videos on our Fall 2021 Opening web page that focus on how families can continue to support children as they begin this new year. Provided by the New York State Office of Mental Health, we hope that they are one resource to help support you and your child.
A reminder that our Fall Opening 2021 web page is still active. Families can find information about our opening, as well as past communications. Beginning today, the web page will also have a link to our weekly COVID-19 positive cases as the New York State COVID-19 Report Card is not yet active.
Enjoy this first weekend of fall together!
All my best,
Brian Neenan
Interim Superintendent of Schools
