January 2025
Welcome to 2025 Hickam Falcons!
Principal's Letter
Aloha Hickam Families,
We hope you had a restful and enjoyable holiday break with your loved ones. As we gear for the start of the 3rd quarter, we want to remind everyone of a few essential details.
First, we miss our students and families and are eager to welcome them back on Wednesday, January 8th. To ensure their safety, we kindly request that students not arrive before 7:40 a.m., as staff members are not on duty until then. The only exception to this rule is for students purchasing breakfast from the cafeteria, available from 7:10 to 7:40 a.m.
Second, for new families who joined us over the winter break, please note that drop-off for all students is on Manzelman Circle, facing the walkway leading to the cafeteria. We appreciate your cooperation in refraining from dropping off students on Julian Way (near the Child Development Center) and Radio Road on Julian Avenue. The only exception is if you have a child who attends both the CDC and Hickam Elementary. These areas experience high foot and bike traffic, and avoiding drop-offs in these zones contributes to a safer environment for everyone.
We look forward to seeing you and your children on Wednesday. Mahalo!
Sincerely,
Patrick Wetzel
Principal
