SCHOOL CAFETERIA
With children’s health and wellness issues an important focus, Florence School District’s Food Service Department provides parents a convenient, easy and secure online prepayment service to deposit money into your child’s school meal account at any time. This service also provides parents the ability to view your child’s account balance. By having money in each child’s account prior to entering the cafeteria, we find the lunch lines move along much faster so your child has more time to eat and be with friends. Also, parents will have the ability to print out a copy of their child’s eating history report. This history report will show you all dates and times that your child has purchased a breakfast and or lunch within the past thirty days.
Click below to create your child’s school meal account on myschoolbucks.com and then you can add money, check balances, meals purchased, etc. All you need is your child’s name, student ID number (can be found on genesis) and school ZIP code (Roebling 08554, Riverfront 08518, FHS 08016). Information can also be found on our district website.
We encourage ALL FTSD families (regardless of eligibility) to complete the Application for Free and Reduced-Price School Meals since it is also used to determine eligibility for P-EBT benefits, state funding, and other school benefits. It is beneficial for our school community that ALL FTSD families fill this out! Most especially, if your family is in need of free/reduced lunch, please take the time to fill out the Free & Reduced Lunch application:

IMMUNIZATION INFORMATION
RIVERFRONT -- Pursuant to NJ Administrative Code (8:57 - 4), all students born after January 1, 1997 and entering grade 6 are required to have one booster dose of Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertusis (Tdap) and one dose of Meningococcal Vaccine (Menactra). Please forward a copy of your child's immunization record to the Middle School nurse by September 29, 2024. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school nurse at jleitinger@florence.k12.nj.us.
ROEBLING -- All students new to Roebling School are required to present a physical exam and immunizations, including booster shots, to enter school in September. If these requirements cannot be met before September, please contact the school nurse at cirons@florence.k12.nj.us ASAP!
HERE COMES THE BUS
With a continuing limited supply of bus drivers area-wide, our transportation office is working diligently as we launch the upcoming school year. Please take note that during the first week schedules may be off just a bit. We appreciate your patience as we navigate a new school year, new schedules, drivers, etc. If at any time you should have any questions or concerns, please contact the Transportation Department at 609-499-4600 ext 4711.
To prepare for this school year, if your child will be taking the bus and has a cell phone, please have them download the "Here Comes the Bus" app on their phone. This app is used for the students to get their ID barcode on their phone (if they have one) so that they can scan it on the bus with their phone instead of their ID. All other students will still need to scan their ID or the barcode on their phone morning and afternoon. Old student ID's can be used until students receive their new ID (mid- September after school pictures are taken). We look forward to serving you!
WHAT'S HAPPENING...
ONLINE PAYMENTS NOW ACCEPTED!
Scream it from the rooftops and tell your friends... FTSD parents can now pay ONLINE for student programs/activities at each school and district wide! Links are posted on each schools websites and families are now able to use this service!

MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS
As the new school year begins, supporting our youth's mental health is more important than ever. The new school year can bring feelings of both anxiety and excitement as students transition into a new grade, perhaps a new school, and are all in turn learning and growing into who they are.
We have provided a Back to School resource packet for parents and teachers who are navigating through this time. Click here to access to the flyer.
By working together, we can create an environment where our children thrive. Remember, Care Solace offers valuable mental health care coordination services to connect you with community-based providers for counseling, therapy, and more.
To access Care Solace:
- Call 888-515-0595: Their multilingual helpline is staffed 24/7/365.
- Visit www.caresolace.com/florence: Explore mental health providers independently or click "Book Appointment" for personalized assistance.
By joining hands as a community, we can provide a nurturing environment that supports the mental health and well-being of our youth. Let's prioritize their emotional growth and create a brighter future together.
