Lambs Ledger
April Edition
Dear Lambs Families,
April has arrived, bringing warmer days, blooming flowers, and plenty of exciting events for our school community! As we step into this new month, we want to keep you informed about everything happening at Lambs!
Spring Break is just around the corner! From April 14th-18th, school will be closed as we take time to relax and recharge. We hope you enjoy this well-deserved break with family and friends. When we return, please remember that Monday, April 21st, will be a weather makeup day for Charleston County. School will be in session for a full day, so we look forward to welcoming students back for a productive and engaging start to the week.
April is also a special time at Lambs Elementary as we celebrate the Month of the Military Child. This is an opportunity to honor the resilience and strength of our military-connected students. To show our support, we’ll be hosting a Spirit Week from April 21st-25th (see the flyer linked below for details). We encourage everyone to participate and help make this a memorable week!
One of the highlights of our celebration will be on April 23rd, when we will start the day with a high five lineup to welcome our military-connected children into the building. It’s a simple but meaningful way to show our appreciation and make sure they feel supported and recognized within our school family.
As we move into April, we kindly remind all families to complete the South Carolina Parent Survey, which was emailed on February 26th. Your feedback is invaluable, the deadline for submission is April 11th. Additionally, we encourage you to consider joining our School Improvement Council and PTA for the upcoming school year. Your involvement and ideas help make Lambs a wonderful place to work and learn! we would love your support! If you are interested in serving with either of these groups, please email me at kayela_clark@charleston.k12.sc.us Thank you for being an essential part of our school community.
As we move through the final months of the school year, we want to remind families about the importance of good attendance and arriving to school on time. Every school day is a valuable opportunity for learning, growth, and connection. When students arrive on time and attend regularly, they build positive habits, stay engaged in lessons, and set themselves up for success. Let’s work together to ensure our students are present, punctual, and ready to learn each day!
As always, we are grateful for your partnership and support. Let’s make this April a month to remember!
Warmly,
Kayela Clark
Principal
