Principal's Message
Good Evening Families
This week there will be adjusted schedules Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, October 22th -24th . We will have benchmark testing on these days and in addition, a pep rally on Wednesday afternoon. The adjusted schedules are below. We ask that you adhere to these schedules when checking your student in or out. Students really need to be in school these days, on time and ready for assessments. These assessments inform decisions made regarding your student's learning.

Thursday's Testing Schedule
Next week is also SPIRIT week. Encourage your students to participate. More information about this is included in this edition of THE SHOCKWAVE.
We are currently looking for ways to recognize our students. Be it attendance, grades, MVPA (benchmark) scores, acts of kindness, etc., we want to recognize them and encourage them to keep up the great work. We are asking for small donations such as $5 dollar gift cards (or any gift card), dollar store gifts, or small things that students like. They enjoy gift cards for sure. Last year we were able to do this and it was a big hit! If you are able to donate, please drop off your item in the front office or have your student drop it off and we will collect and use for the kids. Please indicate purpose of donation (SHOCKING SHOCKERS).
All students received a BLUE emergency card this past Tuesday. You should have received it by now. If not, please ask your student for it. It is imperative that you fill it out and return it. We use these cards when there is an emergency. We unfortunately have had more emergency type situations this year. Everyone has been fine; however, things do happen and when they do, we need as much information as possible in order to handle the situation properly. Please fill out this form and return to your student’s homeroom teacher.

October is national bullying prevention month. National Bullying Prevention Month is a wonderful opportunity to prevent bullying by encouraging everyone to act with kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Bullying impacts the education, health, and safety of K-12 students. Empowering students and parents to report bullying is a critical step in creating a safe and inclusive environment. If you have any concerns or witness bullying, we encourage you to report it promptly. All students were trained how to use Say Something to anonymously report concerns.
