TVMS News - November 16, 2024
Greetings TVMS community,
This past week, we celebrated our incredible Timberwolves who achieved Silver, Gold, and Principal's Honor Roll! Congratulations to our 146 6th graders (60%), 111 7th graders (44%), and 105 8th graders (40%)—we're so proud of your hard work and dedication.
On Friday, we held Town Hall meetings to recognize our Quarter 1 successes and discuss how we can make Quarter 2 even better.
Next week, we’re excited to celebrate American Education Week with some special events. Please check the schedule below. This is a time for parents and guardians to visit and observe classes. Visitors will need to follow HCPSS check-in procedures, by checking into the Front Office to receive a visitors pass. Siblings and other guests will not be permitted to visit classes.
American Education Week is not a time for a personal conference. If you would like to have a conference with the teachers, please sign up for conferences. The deadline to do so is November 21, at 4 p.m. Conferences are in person on Monday, 11/25 and virtual on Tuesday, 11/26, and Wednesday, 11/27. Times vary based on teacher availability, so please see the directions below to sign up.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Mrs. Denise Young, Principal

TVMS is participating in Terracycling this year!
Terracycling is a company that helps to recycle material that is not normally collected for collection. Through November 19, 2024, we are participating in the Takis recycling competition. Please help us by collecting your empty Takis bags and bringing them to TVMS to place in the collection box in the cafeteria during all lunch shifts. The top 3 schools will win some fabulous prizes and the top school will win a Takis celebration with a Takis truck!!! Help TVMS win by collecting your empty Takis bags and bringing them to school! Thanks!

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION/ REMINDERS
FAMILY FILE UPDATE
Update your family information for the new school year. It is mandatory that all parents/ guardians verify and/ or update emergency information for each child each school year. Updating this information provides us with the most current emergency contact information, and also ensures that you are receiving important information and updates for HCPSS and TVMS.
Log in to HCPSS Connect, select the More Options tab on the left and then select Family File in the center column.
Outside Food Expectations
Food delivery services (i.e. Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc.) are not allowed. Delivery will be refused as we do not have the capability to process this during the school day. If a parent would like to bring their child's lunch to the school, we ask that you do so prior to the start of your child's lunch shift. Parents will need to leave the lunch with our Front Office staff.
