Dear Primary School Families,
This week's office notes is coming to you a day early so you are able to get K/1 field day information.
First of all, this week marks the end of preschool classes. It has been a terrific year and we are sad to see you go for the summer. However, it has been a delight to see you blossom and grow all year. Have a great summer!!
For families who are planning to attend the K/1 field day tomorrow (Thursday, May 23rd), the field day location has changed to OLD TOWNE ROAD PLAYGROUND. The fields are too wet.
PARKING: Please note that our neighbor across the street (Parmly) is paving their parking lot, so there are already many cars on the street. The parking lot next to Old Towne Road is available and there is street parking around the building including the north-side. If you park on neighboring roads, be sure to leave driveways open. Thank you for your help! For student safety, we will be blocking off all traffic at the drive at the the back of the building. We will be maintaining a secure locked building, so please use sidewalks to access the playground.
ARRIVAL: Please meet us at the Old Towne Road playground. You will see cones with class names on the cones so you know where the class will be. Please stay on the playground (south) side of the sidewalk as the students will be dropping their items off to the north of the playground (between the fence and the sidewalk).
AFTERWARDS: Make sure and check out/sign out with the classroom teacher if you plan to take your child home after field day. Also, there will be lost and found tables that are outside
Mark your calendars for some upcoming important dates:
- Thursday, May 23rd - Field Day: Families are invited to attend! (1st Grade 9:30 - 11:00 and Kindergarten 1:00 - 2:30)
- Friday, May 31st - 1st Grade Field Trip to Como Zoo
- Monday, June 3rd - Kindergarten Field Trip to Fawn Doe Rosa
