Leadership Message
Dear St. Luke Families,
As we continue our journey through this blessed Easter season and look forward to the warmer weather coming this week, we continue to see God's joy shining through our entire school community. It was wonderful to see our student school representatives experience such joy at last weekend's young author's conference, in addition to the joy we see every day as our students learn so many wonderful new things and share their enthusiasm for learning with us all . It's also inspiring to see two of our teachers, Mrs. Hayden and Ms. Diduck, receive honors this past week from our school board, as detailed later on in this smore. We are also excited to cheer on our school Badminton team as they enter their tournament April 25, as they showcase to all the small, yet mighty, St. Luke's school community.
We continue to encourage all our students to approach each day with enthusiasm, positivity, and a commitment to excellence as we work to create a positive difference in the lives of those around us and in the world at large.
Have a blessed weekend and thank you for entrusting your wonderful children to our care.

Assistant Principal

New Technology Fee for the 2024-2025 School Year
EICS is proposing a new technology fee for students in Grades K through 12 to help cover the increasing costs of providing technology resources. This new fee will replace the K-3 technology fee of $20.00. The proposed fee will be $30.00 per student and will fund various hardware and software needs, such as Chromebooks, Adobe and Microsoft licenses, career guidance software, accessibility software, specialty math software, library software, and other licenses determined by school administration. However, the fee will not be used for network or technology infrastructure costs or staff devices or software.
If you have any questions about either of these fees, please call the school 780-922-5920.
St. Luke’s Nominees/Recipients of District Awards on Wednesday, April 17, 2024
Mrs. Hayden
Every year, our school board and central administration staff honor district staff who excel in being outstanding Catholic teachers in our buildings. We would like to congratulate Mrs. Hayden for being our St. Luke’s nominee for the Excellence in Catholic Education Award. She was honored on Wednesday and is a shining light within our St. Luke’s school community.
Ms. Diduck
Our board further recognizes a first year teacher who not only excels in their Catholic faith, but also excels as an outstanding teacher in every area. Andria Diduck was not only honored as the St. Luke’s Nominee for this award on Wednesday, but she was honored as our District’s Nominee moving forward at a Zone ⅔ Awards ceremony coming up soon. If she is successful, she will be one of only 6 first year teachers in the entire province to be awarded this prestigious award. We are honored to have Ms. Diduck teaching at St. Luke and we are all proud of her dedication to the teaching profession

GrACE exists to inspire, invigorate and embolden the spirit of Catholic education in order to unite, engage, educate and communicate with one voice on its behalf. GrACE, in partnership with the REAL Foundation, is happy to present this contest to EICS students. This is our sixth annual GrACE Contest: A Celebration of Catholic Education.
We invite EICS students of all grade levels to submit work reflecting the importance of, and their experience with or contribution to Catholic education. This year our theme is Go Light Our World. A poster
A formal or informal essay
Original music
Poetry
A presentation (video or otherwise) of social justice work
