Trevitt Elementary
Health Science Academy - September 2024 Edition
From the Desk of Dr. Bates
I hope this message finds you well and excited for the school year ahead! As we continue to work together to provide the best possible education for our students, I want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible community support that makes our school such a special place.
We are truly fortunate to have strong partnerships with various community organizations, local businesses, and dedicated volunteers who generously contribute their time, resources, and expertise to enhance our students' learning experiences. From classroom supplies and technology upgrades to enriching extracurricular activities and mentorship programs, our partners' support significantly impacts our students' growth and development.
These collaborations also allow us to create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. The involvement of our community partners ensures that we can offer a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love of learning in every student.
Thank you for being an integral part of our school community. Your continued support, along with the generosity of our partners, makes our school a place where students not only learn but also grow into compassionate, capable, and confident individuals.
Please be sure and save the date of September 24th from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. for our Open House! This is an excellent opportunity to visit the classrooms and learn more about what your children learn. Be sure and check Class Dojo and review the weekly updates from teachers!
Together, we are making a difference in the lives of our children, and I am so grateful for the role each of you plays in this journey.
Educationally Yours,
Dr. Keisha Fletcher-Bates
Principal

Ms. Carter-School Counselor
Hello Trevitt Families!
I would like to introduce myself as the new counselor at Trevitt Elementary School. My name is
Ms. Kathy Carter, I am known to the community as the previous counselor of Champion Middle School. I am excited about this new venture as an elementary counselor and having the honor of giving back to our community.
I am planning to support our scholars with several group opportunities. Such as individual and group counseling lessons that support educational awareness of students' increased self-esteem, coping skills, decision-making skills, transition to middle school readiness, and more.
Please contact me if you want to refer your child to any of these support services. I look forward to meeting all of you as we strive to become more excellent as Trevitt Tigers!
