I'd like to spotlight a noteworthy achievement of our students. Ten of our students have qualified to compete in the Copernicus Science Olympiad. Their skills, commitment, and drive have been evident in reaching this stage. Kudos to these students, the teacher who guided them, and the parents who consistently stood by their side. This achievement reflects our school's dedication to fostering a passion for learning. As we celebrate this milestone, I look forward to many more achievements that will define our academy's journey.

Another landmark moment awaits us on November 3: the Cognia final presentation. This crucial event is a significant step in our school's accreditation journey, reflecting the culmination of relentless efforts and passion from our dedicated team. I extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who has been a part of this significant milestone.

Further adding to our November excitement, we are thrilled to announce the presence of NBA superstar Enes Kanter at our academy. I invite you all to join us on November 3, at 3:30 p.m., for the grand inauguration of our new gym, an occasion that promises to be memorable.

A thunderous applause to our stellar students at Horizon Leadership Academy who've showcased exemplary performance at the prestigious Copernicus Science Olympiad! Among the standouts were Azra Keskin, Muhammad Siddik, Etka Polat, Ali Burak Khuatbek, Oysha Nur Siddik, Zeynep Karatay, Emine Tangil, Bekiralp Sarikaya, Inji Aizzli, and Azra Yuksel. This commendable feat becomes even more significant considering they outshone in a gathering of over 4000 students from 28 different countries. Their outstanding achievements have paved the way for an invitation to the Global Round, to be held in Houston, TX, come January 2024. We're incredibly proud of each student's dedication, hard work, and the distinction they've brought to our academy. Here's to many more accolades!

We're thrilled to announce the grand opening of our gym at Horizon Leadership Academy on November 3rd at 3 PM. Making this occasion even more monumental, NBA player and human rights activist, Enes Kanter, will grace the event with his esteemed presence. Hosted at HLA Gym the ceremony is an exclusive event for HLA students and their parents. Don't miss the chance to be part of an interactive session and autograph signing with Enes Kanter. As the Blue Jays spread their wings in their new athletic home, we invite our community to celebrate this significant milestone with us.

Excitement fills the air as Horizon Leadership Academy gears up for its much-anticipated Spirit Week from November 6th to 10th! Students, here's your chance to showcase your creativity and school spirit. Kick off the week by honoring your favorite teachers on Monday. Tuesday is all about future aspirations, so dress up for your dream career. On Wednesday, delve into the enchanting world of literature and come dressed as your favorite storybook character. Thursday is a celebration of diversity with Culture Day, where students can proudly wear traditional cultural attire. Finally, wind down the week with a relaxed Friday, donning comfy clothes for a free dress day. Just a quick reminder: pajamas, shorts, leggings, sandals, and crocs are not been allowed during school hours.

Attention all Blue Jays! Horizon Leadership Academy is set to host an electrifying Dodgeball Tournament exclusively for our students from November 13th to 17th. This event promises to be a showcase of skill, strategy, and school spirit. Whether you've got a keen aim or are nimble on your feet, it's time to team up with your classmates and jump into the action. Besides the thrill of the game, this tournament is a fantastic opportunity for camaraderie and friendly competition among peers. May the best team emerge victorious!

Join us at Horizon Leadership Academy in embracing the spirit of generosity this Giving Tuesday, November 28th. Dedicated to uplifting those in need, this year we are channeling our efforts to raise funds for cataract surgeries, benefiting visually impaired individuals in Africa. In collaboration with the Embrace Relief Foundation, our goal is to combat preventable blindness and contribute to comprehensive health initiatives. With just $100, you can sponsor a cataract surgery and 15 health screenings. As a community, we have the power to make a tangible difference. We encourage every member of our academy to participate and spread the word. Let's unite in this cause and make a lasting impact together. This crucial assessment offers insights into our students' academic achievements and assists in customizing instructional strategies to individual needs.
