Kindergarten Orientation -Thursday 5:00-5:45
Kindergarten Orientation will be on Thursday, August 15th from 5:00-5:45 p.m. The Orientation will start in the Kindergarten classroom. During this time, the teacher will go over the Kindergarten curriculum, our schedule, routines, etc. as well as some time to fill out some different forms for the year.
Your child will be going out with the principals to the playground with the other Kindergarteners when you are in the classroom, so be sure to prepare them before you arrive as we know this may be scary for some.
Kindergarten Orientation is also a time to bring school supplies to the classroom.

Arrival and Dismissal
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Arrival:
Students will be entering the building through the main entrance. They may stop and get breakfast in the cafeteria. Doors open at 8:35. There is no adult supervision until this time, so please do not drop students off early.
All children who are late to school after 8:55 a.m. will need to sign in at the office.
Morning Drop Off:
In the morning, caregivers will drop off and students will enter the building by using the main entrances indicated on the image below. We ask that caregivers do not get out of the car in the pick-up line. We will have adults direct students on the crosswalk. If you need to walk your child to the front doors please park and do not go through the drop off line.
Afternoon Pick-Up:
We ask that all caregivers download the PikMyKid app, see information below. This app allows you to check in and adds your child's name to our list. Caregivers that pick-up will enter through the parking lot's main entrance and form two lines. If your student is a pick-up they will wait in the gym until their name is called. Caregivers do not get out of the car. We will have staff members walk your children out and to the cars after the car line stops moving.
*This process is slower the first few days as our youngest students learn the routine

First View App
In partnership with First Student, Lindbergh Schools is now using the FirstView app to communicate bus information with families in real time, including your student’s pickup and drop-off times, and any delays or notifications. FirstView allows you to track your student’s bus location, set alerts and receive updates in the event of a delay.
The app is designed to provide families with a guideline for bus location and estimated time of arrival. However, students should still be at their assigned bus stop 10 minutes prior to estimated or scheduled arrival time. If you do not have access to a smartphone, you can access the FirstView desktop portal.
