Irish Gifted Academy
Week of September 1st, 2024
Hey IGA Family!
I hope this finds you well and enjoying the start of the school year as much as we are! This past week has been truly amazing, filled with energy, enthusiasm, and exceptional learning experiences. I am especially proud of how our students have embraced Project-Based Learning (PBL), diving deep into creative projects that challenge their thinking and allow them to work collaboratively. It has been wonderful to see their curiosity and problem-solving skills in action!
As we move forward, we are thrilled to kick off Homecoming Week! This week will be filled with fun and excitement as we celebrate our school spirit with a series of themed dress-down days. We encourage everyone to participate and show their school pride! Please note that while the dress code will be relaxed to accommodate these fun dress-up days, we ask that all outfits remain school-appropriate.
In addition to all the fun of Homecoming Week, we want to celebrate our Students of the Month for August, who have exemplified the character trait of wisdom. These students have shown great judgment, insight, and the ability to make thoughtful decisions. They have been role models for their peers, and we are incredibly proud of them:
Pre-K -- Jahseh Robinson and Ellis Taylor, Kindergarten -- Joshua Kates and Jamie Safford, 1st Grade -- Addison Fisher, 2nd Grade -- Everett Taylor, 3rd Grade -- Aditi Vyas, 4th Grade -- Bailey Henderson, 5th Grade -- Kaden Johnson, 6th Grade -- Dottie Windham, 7th Grade -- Aisha Saxena, and 8th Grade -- Alan Myers! We also want to give a big IGA shout out to our IGA Staff Member of the Month, Michelle Carr!
Congratulations to these remarkable individuals! Keep up the fantastic work, and continue to inspire those around you.
I would also like to remind everyone that Picture Day is this Friday. Please make sure your student comes prepared for their photo! Progress Reports will also be sent home on Friday, providing you with an update on your child’s progress and areas of strength and growth so far this term. We encourage you to review these reports and discuss them with your child to celebrate successes and identify areas where they can improve.
We are looking forward to another wonderful week filled with learning, growth, and making memories together. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in making our school a vibrant and nurturing environment for all our students.
With gratitude,
Mr. Taylor
