NEWSLETTER | TERM 1 | WEEK 7 | 20 MARCH 2025
Happy St Patrick’s Day for Monday! To all our families with Irish heritage, including my own, I hope you had a wonderful day filled with joy and celebration.
This week, we embraced Harmony Week with a variety of engaging activities in our classrooms. A heartfelt thank you to our staff and students for their efforts in wearing traditional clothing or a splash of orange to honour Australia’s rich cultural diversity. Our Year Four students led a fantastic Harmony Day assembly, highlighting the many cultures that make our school such a wonderful place. It’s truly special to be part of a multicultural community that takes pride in celebrating its heritage!
Adding to our week of celebrations, we also took a moment to recognise and appreciate Miss Chloe Grant on Social Workers Day! Alongside her dedicated therapy dog, Freddie, Miss Grant plays an invaluable role in supporting the social, emotional, and behavioural well-being of our students. Her work ensures that every child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Camp Australia has informed me that while they are still unable to offer Vacation Care this year, they will be providing care for our students on all Pupil Free Days. This is great news for our families!
Lastly, best of luck to Miss Newton and our Year Four to Six students as they dive into the Interhouse Swimming Carnival tomorrow. I’m looking forward to an exciting morning of friendly competition and school spirit!
Wishing you all a lovely weekend!
God bless

WORLD MATHS DAY
Dear Parents,
We are thrilled to announce that March 26th is World Maths Day – a global celebration of all things math! To mark this special occasion, we will be focusing on Maths Week throughout the week, leading up to and including March 26th. This will be a fun-filled, engaging week where we will celebrate the wonders of mathematics in creative and exciting ways!
But the fun doesn’t stop at school – we want you to join in too! Here are some enjoyable and interactive ideas for families to celebrate Maths Week at home:
Week 7
Dear parents and caregivers
How quickly the term is flying by – can you believe we are almost at Easter? As we approach this festive season, we’re excited to share some important upcoming events and reminders.
Year 4-6 Swimming Carnival – Tomorrow!
A reminder that the Year 4-6 Swimming Carnival is happening tomorrow. Teachers have informed students of their events, and this information has also been posted on SeeSaw. Please ensure students come prepared with their swimming gear and ready to enjoy a morning of friendly competition.
Year 4 Excursion to Fremantle Prison – Wednesday, 26th March
Next Wednesday, 26th March, our Year 4 students will be heading to Fremantle Prison for an exciting and educational excursion. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about Western Australia’s history in an engaging way. More details will be provided by Mrs Curtis.
New Booking System – SOBS
We are introducing a new online booking system, SOBS, for parent-teacher interviews. The system will go live on Friday, 28th March, allowing parents to schedule their preferred time slots. Interviews will take place on:
Tuesday, 8th April – 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Wednesday, 9th April – 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
A link for booking will be included in next week's newsletter, so keep an eye out for further details. We encourage all parents to take advantage of this opportunity to meet with teachers and discuss their child’s progress.
A Note on Rough Play in Sports
We’re thrilled to see everyone enjoying themselves during our sports activities during break times. It’s wonderful to witness such energy and enthusiasm! However, please remember that while a bit of rough play is part of the fun, it's important to keep it safe and respectful. Staff will be reminding students to keep it friendly and safe, so everyone can have a great time.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to an exciting week ahead!
