Winter Wrap Up 24-25
THANK YOU to our Athletic Trainers, Mr. Conroy and Mr. Corcoran! We appreciate you keeping us Healthy, Happy, and at our BEST!
🏆 Thank you, Seniors🏅
Over the years, you have overcome obstacles, experienced successes, and gained knowledge that extends beyond the field. It's about development, friendship, and treasured memories, not simply victories. Your character and high school experience are shaped by these experiences. You are champions because of the relationships you've built and the difficulties you've encountered. Keep the Marauder spirit in mind when you think back on your time in high school. Cheers to Marauder Seniors, the winners of today, yesterday, and tomorrow!

"One Coach Will Impact More Young People in One Year Than the Average Person Does in a Lifetime" - Dr. Billy Graham
MOHS Athletics participated, in addition to their competitions, in a variety of events, such as; Morgans message - Stigma of Mental Health/ College Games/Mini Golf/Bowling/Clothing Drives/ Shoot A Thon (contribution towards 11th hour)/Youth Nights/Senior Nights/Teacher Appreciation and Youth Clinics..... To name just a few.
GBasketball
Our team has overcome many obstacles through the 2024-2025 season. Although our record can be deceiving, our team prospered and pushed through many games mentally and physically. Being a young team our bond grew this season through team bonding and our want to do better. Outside of the games the team enjoyed giving back to the community through a clothing drive, a teacher appreciation game, raising money for a local family in need, and a youth night. We fought hard throughout the season, every win was memorable. Even though we would be down during games, supporting one another on the court was important to our team. Freshman Gabrielle Cefola broke the single-season assist record, which was exciting. Coming together and learning together as a team, we are ready for the next season and to make it even better.
BBasketball
Our 2024-25 season was filled with team and individual accomplishments. As a team, we had an overall record of 10-16, and a conference record of 8-4. We finished in sole possession of second place in our conference. Our season was highlighted with victories over rival Morristown and Roxbury, on senior night, when Jabri Joseph delivered a game winning layup to seal the victory. We also had multiple players gain all conference recognition. Chrstian Rodriguez was the only freshman in the county to receive First Team all Conference status. Mateo Casabal received second team all conference, and Jabri Joseph received Honorable Mention all conference. Next year, we look to build on the successful season with many talented returners
Bowling
The Mount Olive Bowling team ended the season with a 7-11 record and had a tremendous amount of firsts in its third year. The team won its first state match in its programs history against Ferris High School and Junior Teagan Mendel was the first Girls Morris County Champion in school history. The program had to signature wins against top ranked Chatham with "Captain Clutch" Landon Taylor sealing the win in both matches. Juniors Drew DeMaria, Karigne Njugna, and Lauren Bubnick continue to shine throughout the season with Freshmen Valentina Lopez stepping up many times to help the squad win. While we will miss our senior captains Landon Taylor and Amblin Cabsaba the future looks bright for the Marauders moving forward.
Ice Hockey
The ice hockey team had a season filled with learning highly competitive games and meshing as a team.
We experienced many ups and downs throughout the season, but we persevered through some tough times.
We had some standout performances from sophomores Dominic Landolfi, freshman Ryan Walsh and seniors Tyler and Talon Muscolino.
As we look to next season, we look forward to capitalizing on our opportunities for next season.

B/G Swimming
GSwimming: The Girls Swim Team ended the season with an overall Record: 2 - 4 - 1; Conference Meets Only: 2 - 2 eam was led by our captains: Laure Thomas, Mia Homsany, Alexa Hahn and Kiara Ongoro. We lost some key players which resulted in less depth this season. But having team depth is only a part of what makes a team. “Nothing beats a team that plays with one heartbeat.” We are truly united, working together with the same goal, determination, and spirit, is unbeatable. Danielle Cabsaba Top scorer/a young woman who has the biggest heart in the sport and on this team. At Morris County Championships she broke her100 backstroke record and also broke the 200 IM record. Our team participated in Morgan's Message Education Program, collected food items for the MO Food Pantry, and hosted a clothing drive.
BSwimming: The team finished the 2024-2025 campaign with 2 wins and 5 losses. The team consisted of 17 members; 4 Seniors, 3 Juniors, 7 Sophomores and 3 freshmen. Throughout the season the swimmers were gaining confidence and becoming more comfortable with each experience. They performed very well in the playoff type meets and consistently improved times and form. The young men built a strong chemistry that will certainly better prepare them for the near swimming future. It will be tough to replace our seniors but I feel the underclassmen are ready for the task in 2025-2026!
Unified Basketball
Mount Olive Unified Basketball had a season filled with growth, meaningful engagement, and teamwork. Success wasn’t measured by wins or losses, but by the valuable experiences shared by athletes and partners. The season began with focused practices on fundamental skills, where both athletes and partners worked side by side, learning lessons of inclusion, compassion, and sportsmanship. As the season progressed, the team shifted from a focus on winning to celebrating each teammate’s contributions and cheering for everyone’s success. Unified Basketball created an inclusive environment both on and off the court, providing opportunities for students with and without disabilities to train, compete, and form lasting friendships. When everyone plays together, everyone wins, and this season highlighted the true spirit of unity and collaboration. We couldn’t be prouder of the growth and camaraderie this team has shown.

We have no Seniors on the Unified Bowling Team so we are looking forward to all of them returning to the 2025-2026 season.

Boys Indoor Track and Field
The team saw some strong individual performances throughout the season. The boys 4x200 meter relay placed third at the group 3 relays. In high jump, junior Jason Pappafio Kesee leapt onto the scene placing 2nd at Morris County Championships and was the Group 3 North 1 Sectional Champion. With a large junior class, as well as many young athletes filling out the roster, the team looks to have a bright future in the seasons to come.
Girls Indoor Track and Field
The girls Indoor Track and Field team had a successful rebuilding season after graduating several talented seniors last year. Many new faces took the reins and made their way to the 2nd round of the state tournament. Freshman Jazmine Laroche qualified for finals in the 55m and shot put at the Morris County Championships. Junior Amy Rubinstein made her way to group championships in the 55m hurdles as well as medaling 6th in high jump at the Morris County Championships. With lots of young talent, the girls team looks to keep building on the growth of this winter season.
Boys Wrestling
The Mount Olive boys wrestling team is set to compete in the district tournament this weekend. In preparation for this event, the team has faced one of the most challenging schedules in North Jersey. So far, the wrestling team has compiled an impressive record of 15-4 and has won two tournaments. Notably, they made history by winning the first Morris County tournament in the school's history.
Atlantic City had much success. Mount Olive sent an unprecedented 11 total athletes to the Boardwalk to compete for a state title. Nico Gonzalez made it to the podium with incredible performances on the mat.

The girls wrestling team had a historic season in both the individual and team aspects of the season. As a team, the Marauders saw significant improvement and finished 9-3 on the season and managed to defeat teams who had been established for several years. Five wrestlers finished the season with over 20 individual wins. Throughout the season, the girls team participated in many tournaments and jamborees. We had three individual champions at the Lenape Valley Round Robin Tournament, and multiple wrestlers who won all of their matches at the Passaic County Girls Jamboree. At the NJAC Championships, four wrestlers reached the semi-final round, with Claire Carey and Samantha Soto earning third place finishes in their respective weight class, and Molly Smyth finishing in fourth place. At the NJSIAA North I Region Tournament, multiple wrestlers advanced well into the tournament before being knocked out.
