We are blessed to have our Sr. Pastor, Dr. Ron & 1st Lady Faye Godbolt and our Bishop,

Dr. John L. Godbolt and Elect Lady Vertell Godbolt, leading us through the Christian journey!

"Treat others with dignity, and watch them rise to greatness."

Our Sr. Pastor, Dr. Ron Godbolt, taught a Mother's Day message in both the 8:00am and 11:00am services entitled "The M in Mothers." It was related to the three M's--Mean, Mode, and Median.

His objectives were:

1. Recognize what we can learn from Mothers.

2. Understand how we are blessed by Mothers.

3. Celebrate Mother's Day.

His main scripture reference was 2 Timothy 1:5, and he gave the following scriptures and definitions of the three M's:

Luke 18:3-8 Mean-average, calculated by summing all values and dividing by the number of values.

1 Samuel 1:12 Mode - The value that appears the most.

2 Timothy 1:5 Median - The middle value in a sorted dataset.

Congratulations to Dr. Myrah Wilson, a proud graduate of the Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies (HELPS) Ph.D. program at Howard University!

Her scholarship, leadership, and dedication to advancing higher education reflect the best of Bison excellence. We celebrate this milestone and look forward to the impact she will continue to make in the field.

North Carolina African American Heritage Commission honors incredible educators such as Dr. Sonny Kelly who inspire, empower, and shape the future. North Carolina’s teachers nurture bright minds in every corner of our beautiful state. We reflect back to the 2024 NC Rosenwald Schools Convening Grounding Ceremony, where the Lasting Educator Award was presented. This award honors North Carolina educators who embody the spirit of the Rosenwald Program. The awardees like Dr. Kelly have dedicated their lives to educating communities across the state, with a special focus on uplifting diverse stories and preserving the legacy of Rosenwald history.
