IMPORTANT (6th Grade Families)
Dear 6th grade parents: October 15th is fast approaching! This is a friendly reminder that your

10/15, or your student will not be allowed to come to school on 10/16. I will be in the building for
conferences, so I will be available for questions, etc. If you need assistance, please contact me

SCHEDULING YOUR CONFERENCES
We are using a conference scheduling system called PowerPTC . This system is integrated into the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please Note: The system does NOT work with the PowerSchool Parent App. You must use the PowerSchool Parent Portal on a web browser either on your phone or a computer.
If you do not have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account or you have forgotten your login credentials, please contact your child's school office for assistance.
Click here for a step-by-step guide with pictures or follow the directions below.
Go to the PowerSchool Parent Portal from any internet-connected device.
Enter your login information as required on the screen.
Once in the application go to the top right corner of your screen and choose the applications icon.
When the next screen opens, click on the POWERPTC link.
Once you are in the system click on CONFERENCE SCHEDULE.
Select the DATE you would like to schedule your appointment.
Select the starting TIME.
When you are finished scheduling all of your conferences, click BUILD SCHEDULE NOW!
You may then print your schedule or email yourself a copy.
If you are scheduling for more than one student, switch to the next student by clicking the CHANGE STUDENT link in the top left corner.
If you need assistance with scheduling your child's conference, please contact our office at 815-337-5200 for support.

News from the Library!
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Creekside. The book fair will run Oct. 2 - 9 during school hours and Parent/Teacher Conferences. Our live location is in the Creekside Library, but you can also make purchases online at the CMS Book Fair Homepage
Scholastic eWallet has become a very popular way for students to make purchases at the book fair. eWallet gives your child a safe, cashless way to shop at the Book Fair. Haven’t used Scholastic eWallet with your child in the past? Now is a great time to try. This digital payment option can be used at the in-school Book Fair or online at the Virtual Book Fair, where you'll discover an expanded selection of over 5,000 products.
Plus, every purchase benefits our school!
How eWallet Works
Visit the CMS Book Fair Homepage
Create an account for each child
Add funds...
...or invite family and friends to contribute
Shop the Book Fair
Spend unused funds online or fund an eWallet for your next Fair!
After the Fair, remaining eWallet funds are not returned to a credit card but instead, become a gift card balance that can be used online with Scholastic or to fund an eWallet for a future Book Fair. If you have used eWallet in the past, you will receive an email from Scholastic showing you how to transfer any leftover funds from previous bookfairs to be used at this bookfair. Be sure to sign in with the same email used to create the eWallet.
