Miner School News

Ms. Masucci's Class goes on a CBI to Arlington Heights Police Department

We got to visit the Arlington Heights Police Department to continue learning about different community helpers. The students all got to sit in the front of the police car and turn on the lights, they got to explore the facility, and use the radar to see how fast cars were going. Thank you to our resource officer, Officer Dugan, for helping make this happen. Two weeks ago, we also got to visit the Long Grove Fire Department as well for another fun CBI!

Always Learning 😍

  • Staff in Mrs. Bowman's room took what they learned earlier in a training about enriching the environment and put it to good use. Staff pulled out toys the students haven't spent much time playing with this year and modeled how the toys could be played with. Students were quick to jump in and play and explore the toys which increased their engagement and left them with big smiles on their faces!

PTO Corner

PTO Updates

  • The PTO is hoping to organize a few Dine & Share events at local restaurants in the communities where Miner families reside. If you have any ideas of restaurants that would participate, please send them our way!

  • We will be starting to work on getting donations for the Roll N’ Stroll. If you have any connections to businesses that would be willing to donate prizes for our raffle, please contact Michelle Manfredi at minerptopresident@gmail.com

  • The next PTO meeting will be in early April and will be focused on planning for Roll n' Stroll. Date coming soon!
