Pamela Casey has served as District Attorney of Blount County since 2011. She is a graduate of Rhodes College and Seattle University School of Law cum laude. She is National Board Certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in Criminal Trial Law. She is the only female and only one of two people to hold the certification in the State of Alabama. She has appeared on multiple national television programs discussing social media awareness and has presented on the topic across the United States and Canada. She is married to Robert, who is a teacher. They have two children: Claire who is 2 and Glen who is 4.

Trussville Fire Department Provides "Christmas For Kids"
The Trussville Fire Department is offering “Christmas For Kids” for families in need of assistance during the Christmas season. If you are in need of receiving assistance, please visit https://bit.ly/CFKreg23 (or scan the QR code below) and complete the pre-registration form NO LATER than Friday, November 3rd.
It is very important that you include a phone number where you can be reached after 5pm as our volunteers will need to contact you in order set-up an appointment date and time to complete a formal application.
The following documentation will be required to complete your in-person application:
* Driver’s License (for person making application)
* Social Security Cards for each person in the household
(Medicaid card with name & SSN is acceptable if SSN card is not available)
* TO VERIFY ADDRESS: (must bring one) Alabama Power, water or gas bill showing their street address (Telephone or cable bill not acceptable)
* TO VERIFY INCOME: (bring ALL that applies)
- check stubs for each working member of the household
- statement of income for child support
- statement of allotment for Social Security (SSA / SSI) for each eligible member of household,
including children
- statement of allotment for food stamps &/or WIC
- statement of allotment for any other assistance
- custody papers / statement of guardianship for relative children or other children living in the house
* WISH LIST: ideas of what the children are interested in getting for Christmas

2023 Trussville Marching Invitational Highlights
With the help of over 250 amazing volunteers, the 2023 Trussville Marching Invitational highlighted 18 talented marching bands from across the state. More than 5,000 attendees were welcomed by friendly faces and mesmerized by the sights and sounds of the evening. We would like to extend a very special thank you to the UAB Marching Blazers for their amazing performance to close the night! This event is always such a testament to the commitment of excellence throughout our Hewitt-Trussville Band program. The Trussville Marching Invitational showcased wonderful music, amazing teamwork and the heart of our community!

In his spare time, he enjoys riding motorcycles and eating really good food! His favorite part about teaching at the ALC is the small class size. This allows him to give more undivided attention to any struggling student. Coach Jones and his family have truly enjoyed being a part of Trussville City Schools and he would like to thank everyone for welcoming them to the community!!

CES Dog Service Project
This week the Cahaba CES dogs did their first service project of the year! They went to the Trussville Public Library to help prepare race bags for the Book It 5K this weekend, and helped clean up the grounds around the library in preparation as well. The kids did an excellent job and had a ton of fun! Cahaba is so proud of these sweet kids and their willingness to serve their school and their community! Afterward, they played at the park and had a picnic. They have worked so hard this nine weeks, and this was a thank you for their work. Way to go, kids!

TCS issued devices are to be used for completion of student's academic assignments.
Chromebooks should be closed and carried securely while traveling at school and home.
When not in use, make sure your device is in a safe place like your desk or backpack...Do not place on the floor!
Vandalism of your TCS device could include intentional damage or repeated damage due to negligent behaviors.
Students, parents and teachers all play a part in helping to take care of our TCS issued devices!

Paine Elementary Preparing for 2024 BCBS of Alabama Kids Marathon
Attention Paine Families: Over the next few months your child will be training for the 2024 Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Marathon. Students will run in PE on Fridays as part of our “Fitness Friday” stations. Since every child participates in “Fitness Friday” in our PE class, then everyone qualifies to run the last mile of the 26.2 miles on the Marathon Day. (Participation in the Marathon is totally optional) As each child completes the final mile on the actual marathon course on Saturday, February 24, 2024, he/she will receive a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Marathon Finisher’s Medal. Registration MUST be completed online by December 26th at $25 per child. After December 26th the price increases. Registration closes completely on January 5th.

Dr. Faust Helps Magnolia Shine Bright
The Magnolia family recently dressed in brightly colored clothes in appreciation of Dr. Faust and in recognition of National Principals Month! Magnolia honors the dedication and hard work of Dr. Faust and showed appreciation for her contributions to student success.
Service Association turns HTHS and Trussville Pink
The Service Association enjoyed their annual tradition of decorating the high school for Turn Trussville Pink! Later in the evening, the group joined with other volunteers at Nona Ruth’s and then went out to decorate the city.
Cahaba Celebrates Student Success
Cahaba gathered in the gymnasium for a 1st Nine Week Celebration to honor the achievements and efforts of our students. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as teachers, staff and fellow students cheered on the accomplishments of our young stars. Students were honored as they ran through the teacher tunnel to the tune of their favorite songs. It was not just a celebration of achievements but also a testament to the power of persistence and teamwork. The Nine Week celebration served as a reminder of the incredible potential within our school community and inspired everyone to aim for even greater heights in the future.

Magnolia Elementary Celebrates First 50 Days of Learning
The fiftieth day of school was a festive occasion at Magnolia Elementary. On this day, the Magnolia family members dressed in their favorite 1950s attire to celebrate learning.
HTHS Art Students Shine in Art Competition
The 17th Annual Mr. Painterman "Rhythms of Color" Art Festival and Student Art Competition was held over the weekend and we wanted to congratulate three of our AP Art Students for placing in the local competition. 2nd Place - Corinne Caprara 11th grade, 3rd Place - Brynlea Franklin 11th grade and Honorable Mention - Olivia Evans 11th Grade. We are so proud of all three artists and to have their hard work celebrated and showcased! Join us in congratulating them!

Hewitt Trussville Wrestling for the 2023/2024 Season!
This program is designed for children ages 5-13.
The core skills and techniques taught are appropriate for all skill levels.
When: November - February (2 nights/week)

Futsal is indoor soccer. It is a fast-moving game consisting of short sided teams in all age groups. Teams are co-ed from 8-100 years of age. We will offer teams in the following age groups:
Smallz (6-8)
Samba (9-11)
Sala (12-14)
Phenoms (high school)
Adults (most competitive)
**Matching Uniforms are required.**
$150 per team
This is a team registration (one person registers the team and collects the fees)
Rosters will be signed on the first day of competition.
Games will be played at the Red Gym - 601 Parkway Drive
