Spring is approaching quickly and learning is in full swing here. As you may know, 2nd semester is typically when students make the most academic gains. Make sure to keep school a priority in your house. What can you do to make school a top priority for your child? Keep these ideas in mind:

• Make attendance your number one priority. Let your child know that unless they are sick, they must attend school (and be on time.)
• Show you care. Talk about what your children are learning and doing in school
• Celebrate success. When your child shows progress on their learning celebrate at home as well.

Thursday, March 7th we will have our Mahaffey Spring Open House. We will be focusing on ways you can help your child through the "last leg of the flight". We will have games, make-and-take activities, resources for parents, etc. We hope to see you all there! :)
