It's hard to believe that we're already nearing the end of the first quarter for the 2024-2025 school year. Time certainly flies when we're having fun and learning together. We're thrilled to share some important updates and celebrate the achievements of our students and athletes!

Important Dates to Remember:

- Friday, October 4th: No school for students due to a teacher grading day and the end of the 1st Quarter.

- Fall Break: October 7th - October 11th: A time to recharge and refocus - enjoy quality time with your family!

Celebrating Our Falcon Athletes:

Let's give a big round of applause to our talented Falcon athletes! Our Boys and Girls Cross Country teams, our Boys Basketball and Girls Volleyball teams have had some amazing seasons, demonstrating dedication and teamwork. We couldn't be more proud of their hard work and accomplishments. GO FALCONS!

Next Sports Season on the Horizon:

As we gear up for the next sports season, we're excited to announce that Girls Basketball and Boys Volleyball are just around the corner! We can't wait to see our students shine both on and off the court. Stay tuned for game schedules and come out to cheer on our teams.

As we enter Fall Break, we encourage our students to use this time wisely to recharge, relax, and prepare for the challenges and opportunities ahead. Remember that a healthy balance of rest and study can help us all excel in our academic and extracurricular pursuits.

Your continued support, involvement, and enthusiasm for our school community are what make Alice Vail Middle School truly special. We look forward to the rest of this exciting school year as we learn, grow, and achieve together.

This District mandated program is designed to provide support to students who need extra help in reaching grade-level proficiency in English Language Arts (ELA) and/or Math as measured by the Arizona Academic Standards Assessment or AASA. Students were selected based on their performance on the 2023-24 AASA for grades 4 - 8. Students may have been chosen to participate in this program because she/he has a score(s) of Minimally Proficiency and/or Partially Proficient in ELA or Math.

We believe that with additional support and targeted instruction, your student can be nearer to or at grade level mastery on the AASA which will be administered in April 2025.

Monday- Dress Like A Friend Day - On this day, everyone picks a friend to imitate, including their outfits or mannerisms for a day. Just make sure this is used as an uplifting, fun day.

Tuesday- School Colors Day - Show your school pride! Blue & Yellow!

Wednesday- Middle Day - To honor middle school, everyone dresses as something in the middle — for example, you could dress as the color gray because it's in the "middle" of black and white or pink because its between red and white.

Thursday- Ready for Autumn Day- Show up ready for fall! Wear your boots, flannel/plaid, sweaters, and scarfs.
