Little Miami Select Choir is once again, SUPERIOR!
Congratulations to our LMSC choirs for earning straight Superior ratings at the OMEA State competition!
To earn the highest ratings in the top classes of AA/A in this event is an incredible achievement. When you see any of our select choir members, please congratulate them for the outstanding effort they have committed throughout this year to ensure this success.
We are so proud of all your hard work.
2024 Daylight Prom
Daylight Prom was a massive success this year. Today, more than 300 students from 10 area high schools danced the afternoon away in West Chester. This year marks the ninth annual Daylight Prom hosted by Little Miami High School's Student Government. Daylight Prom is a sensory-friendly dance for students in special education programs and their peer partners throughout Warren, Hamilton, and Clinton Counties.
Congratulations, Emma Pinson!
Emma Pinson was chosen as the top female Straight ‘A’ Student of the Year by the Anthony Munoz Foundation! This means she won an additional $3,000 scholarship on top of the $2,000 she was already awarded at the Straight ‘A’ Luncheon hosted by Alison Montoya from FOX19.
Emma was one of eighteen students chosen out of 490 applicants from 150 high schools. Emma’s mom, Julie, 6th grade teacher Mrs. Allen, and high school English teacher Mrs. Madden were in attendance to celebrate Emma’s achievement. Way to go Emma!!!!
From the ECC
Preschool Pals
This week we are beginning a new theme in our classrooms, “Animals”. Children will learn that mammals are a special kind of animal that breathe air, have a backbone, grow hair, and are warm-blooded. Mammals also feed their young with milk from the mother. Children will consider these characteristics to reach the conclusion that they are mammals, too!
Kindergarten Kids
As the year winds down we have been learning about digraphs and focus on the sound “sh” and words with “sh” in them. The grass we planted in April is ready to come home this week! We have been continuing to rehearse for our end of year kindergarten celebration! Be on the lookout for the official invites coming home soon!
First Grade Friends
We had another fun-filled week in first grade. We had some junior achievement lessons presented by parent volunteers, we are continuing to grow in our math skills by making our very own picture graphs, we observed our caterpillars' building chrysalides, and we have thoroughly enjoyed all of the outdoor learning opportunities.

WoodHenge: A Little Miami Podcast
The podcast is called WoodHenge, named after the ancient, fossilized structures buried under Little Miami High School. There are woodhenges worldwide, similar to stonehenges, but it's believed that the woodhenge buried under LM was left during the Hopewell era.
The point of the podcast's name is to show that we are "uncovering" the truth about Little Miami High School, just like woodhenge was uncovered!
This year's guests include Dr. Kevin Harleman, Mrs. Adrienne Sanders, Mr. Rob Mason, Jasmina Abduganieva, Alena Greulich, Mackenzie Evans, Kyle Mangan, Mr. Lovins, Edie Loffer, Mr. Woodruff, senior Sam Schmidt and multi sport athlete and standout student, Gabby Wilson, Bob Genheimer, the George Rieveschl Curator of Archaeology at The Cincinnati Museum Center.
Latest Episode:
For the last episode of the fall semester, Mr. DeSanctis and Miss Frederick are joined by Mr. Wysong, an LMHS science teacher in his first year in the district. They chat about life as an administrator, plans for winter break, and some tasty side hustles!
