ABC countdown Let's count down to the end of the school year with fun activities from A-Z. Activities will begin Thursday, May 2, 2024

To follow along with our ABC Countdown, here are some ideas that will show our staff how much they are appreciated. Thank you RVES Staff for all that you do for our Rangers!

Friday, May 10, 2024 7pm-8:30pm in our MPR

4th & 5th Graders join us for music, fun, and games!

• Ticket purchasing will ONLY be open to our 4th & 5th grade students
• Adult & Child tickets are $5 each and required for entry
• Note: Each 4th & 5th grader must be accompanied by an adult with their own ticket (child and adult must both have a ticket to enter)
• Glow items, food, and hair tinsel will be available for purchase, CASH ONLY
• FRI 05/03 is the LAST DAY TO PURCHASE TICKETS

Send your Ranger to school everyday (partial day counts) in the month of May so they can be entered into our attendance raffle to win a brand new SCOOOTER!!!

If James Workman Middle School is your child's home school for 6th grade, please consider attending.

State testing (CAASPP) is coming up soon for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. As a family, you can support your child by making sure they are well-rested and have a healthy breakfast on the day of the test. Remember to stay positive and encourage your child to do their best. We will have attendance incentives this year. In order for students to qualify for those incentives, they will need to be on time and present for the assessment on the scheduled day. Please help your Ranger get these incentives!

Testing days are as follows:

• 5th Grade: April 29 - May 7
• 3rd Grade: May 6 - May 10
• 4th Grade: May 13 - May 17

No more packets of paperwork to complete and return to the school office! Palm Springs Unified School District has implemented an online student verification (registration) system through ParentVUE.

STEP ONE: Sign in to your Active ParentVUE account

• Computer - Please sign in to your account through https://pvue.psusd.us/ and click on the Online Registration option in the top right-hand corner.
  
• Phone App- Sign in to your account and click on the purple OLR-Online Registration option above your student’s name and photo. Then click on the OLR option a second time to enter the verification process.

STEP TWO: Begin the Verification process and verify your child's information. Your student's information need only be verified by ONE custodial parent/guardian. Any parent/guardian with custody rights can verify and change student enrollment from their ParentVUE account.

STEP THREE: Review and Submit Status of Recent Registration Activity will confirm your Annual Verification is complete

Online registration is a required process for all returning students. Your child may not be placed in a class without completing registration. Please complete the online verification as soon as possible.

PTA will be selling Dippin' Dots Ice Cream after school Wednesdays. $5 each / CASH ONLY

Every Friday we encourage our rangers to wear RVES spirit wear!

The class that has the most students wearing an RVES Spirit shirt the last FRIDAY of the month will earn an extra recess at the end of that day. 4/26 is the last Friday for the month of April.

PTA has order forms available in the office!

Solid Color Shirts are $10 each (Cash Only)

Tie Dye Shirts are $20 each (Cash Only)

**Once the order form is completed and placed in the PTA box, PTA will fulfill the order and send the shirt(s) home with the students.

Join PSUSD for a celebration of cultures!

Saturday, May 4th, 5pm-7pm at the Palm Springs Air Museum

Entrance is FREE! Live entertainment, food trucks, activities for kids, merchandise vendors, and much more. We hope to see you there!
