We are currently looking for volunteers to help monitor students during lunch from 10:40-1:20. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with our students and support our staff. Please note that all volunteers must be approved and will work alongside our dedicated lunch monitor.

CPMS Counselor Visit:

Wednesday, February 26th, Ms. Habiger from CPMS will meet with all 5th graders for her presentation of MS courses.

Come join your child for Specials on Friday, Feb. 28th and see what it's all about! You are invited to join in the fun in the gym during your student's specials time. There will be a short performance and then you are welcome to participate in the activities around the gym with your child.

Times:

5th - 9am-9:25am

3rd - 9:50am-10:20am

4th - 10:45am-11:15am

Kinder - 12:15pm-12:45pm

1st - 1:10pm - 1:40pm

2nd - 2pm - 2:30pm

There will be no chairs set up in the gym so come prepared to stand for the short performance and move around the gym after the performance.

Come enjoy our Learning Under the Stars Night on Wednesday, March 12th! We will have several fun educational activities for you and your entire family to enjoy together in different classrooms. This event is in conjunction with the Book Fair. Plus PTA will provide FREE Pizza that will be served in the cafeteria while supplies last.

Update on LISD's Long-Range Plans

LISD is actively working on a Long-Range Plan to present to the Board of Directors to address budget deficits across the district. These discussions will shape the future of our schools, so it’s crucial to stay informed and engaged. Be sure to check out the Board Briefs from the February 13 LISD board meeting. LISD Board of Trustees meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.

A community-based group is currently organizing. Please watch for more information through PTA's newsletter to learn more.

The Austin PBS KIDS Writers Showcase is looking for amazing stories written and illustrated by amazing kids. Each story will be published on their website and every kid will receive a certificate! A selection of writers will receive prizes and be invited to our Writers Showcase event!
