Principal's Message
Good Evening Yowell Families,
This is Mrs. Fiscus with your weekly update. I don't know about you, but I am exhausted from this beautiful weekend! This week we begin our second quarter of the school year. You will receive your child's report card in next week's Tuesday folder.
Picture retake day is coming up next Tuesday, October 22nd. Please notify your child's teacher if you want your child's picture retaken. They will contact the office so we know who needs to be taken for pictures.
We will resume the Bear's for Ben Cancer fundraiser on Tuesday by selling bears and collecting donations until we run out of bears. Huge thank you for all your support, I can't wait until next week's call to tell you exactly how much we were able to give to Ben's family.
Unity Day is celebrated on Wednesday, October 16th to spread the word to stop bullying. If you can wear orange in support of Unity Day.
Our DAY OF AWESOME will be this Thursday during your child's resource class. This is a school-wide reward for your support of our fall fundraiser. This event through your child's eyes is basically the best day ever!! Please keep an eye on our social media to have a window into this fun filled day. Not only is it the Day of Awesome, but it is also the Great Shakeout, where we will have an earthquake drill as well as a fire drill.

Transportation Information
In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here. Also, this is the direct link to transportation.
Parents of students Pre-K through Grade 3 are expected to meet their children at the bus stop. Failure to do so will result in the child(ren) being returned to school. Should you choose to allow your child(ren) to be dropped off without supervision in the afternoon, please fill out and return this document.
We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.
