Portrait of a Graduate Student Spotlight
This school year, we are recognizing York Suburban students who represent the Portrait of a Graduate qualities we strive to instill in our students through our curriculum, opportunities, and experiences. This month, we are proud to spotlight Nathaniel Murray, Class of 2025, as a student who exemplifies our Knowledgeable Thinker competency.
Nate knew he wanted to work in the trades after graduation. After considering his options, he applied for and was accepted into the York County Alliance for Learning (YCAL) Electrician Pre-Apprenticeship program. Every other week, Nate spends his Tuesday at the York Electrical Institute learning electrical & construction safety, component installation, Ohms Law, conduit bending, and other transferable skills. Nate's pre-apprenticeship confirmed for him that a career as an electrician was the right career fit for him. After graduation, he plans to transition to an apprenticeship and then explore the numerous career opportunities available to him as an electrician.
Nate truly exemplifies our Knowledgeable Thinker competency and with the skills he has already acquired, we know he has a BOLD future ahead. Best wishes, Nate!
Scott Krauser, Ed.D., Superintendent of Schools
