Message From the Principal
Reminder this is the last week for the 3rd 9 weeks. Students must have all of their work in prior to spring break. Please make sure you are logging into skyward and checking on your students grades and missing assignments, all work needs to be turned in by the end of the day on March 13th for 3rd 9 weeks grades. We will be starting track soon, if your child is wanting to be in track they need to be eligible.
We offer ASAP from 3:30-4:30 Monday-Thursday for students to get extra help on their assignments as well as get more time to get work completed. Let the office know if you would like your child to stay for ASAP this week.
Just another reminder of when our state assessments will be.
April 1st and 3rd will be Science State Assessments for 5th and 8th graders.
April 8-11 will be ELA State Assessments for all 5th-8th grade students.
April 14-18 will be Math State Assessments for all 5th -8th grade students.
Attached is the Amazon Wish List for snacks for State Assessments. Each time a student tests they are given a snack, a piece of gum and a mint or jolly rancher. With every student in the Middle School testing we like to make sure that they are fueled with a snack. This isn't made possible without the donations from all of you and we greatly appreciate all of those donations and I know the students enjoy the treats as well!
The items are just suggestion we will take anything you are willing to donate. Please bring donations to the office AFTER spring break, if you order off the list you can have it shipped directly to the school, 210 N Miller St. Meriden KS

8th Grade Job Shadow Experience
We’re looking for parents and community members to help provide a meaningful experience for our 8th graders. On the morning of April 17th, students will participate in a job shadow to explore different careers and workplace environments. Dodge Heart Disease
On Friday to help raise money for the American Heart Association we will be doing a Dodgeball Tournament. Normally we do Hoops for Heart and do 3 on 3 basketball but we decided to change it up.
Teams must consist of 6 grade level members, 3 boys and 3 girls. The few is $5 per person/ $30 a team. Teams must register and pay with Mrs. Williams. Deadline to register is Wednesday March 12 so we make sure we can get a bracket created. Any questions please reach out to Mrs. Williams at Mary.williams@usd340.org
Changes Coming
There will be some changes after spring break for drop off and pick up in the morning. Please refer to the diagram and the rules for drop off and pick up.
If you have a High School student who drops their siblings off please make sure they are aware of these changes.

Cost for Breakfast is $2.25- we start serving breakfast at 7:30 am
Lunch cost is $3.50- Salads and sandwiches are offered every day but Late Start Days
