We can't believe how fast June is going! FYRE's got a lot of pride to share this month!
FYRE is excited to announce the 3rd annual Pride in the Park event! Your save-the-date is below, but that's not all the news we have to share with you, so read on!
GED Spotlight
Did you know that 20 students earned their GED at FYRE this school year? FYRE coordinates with local schools to provide GEDs to our youth. We offer pre-testing, personalized tutoring, and all-around support to our GED students as well!
On June 22, FYRE will host a graduation party for our 2023 GED students and their closest friends and family. Earning a GED is a huge accomplishment! Local community leaders who themselves earned a GED will attend to congratulate and encourage our grads.

Mental Health Month Color Walk
On May 20, FYRE partnered with OBHC to bring you the Mental Health Month Color walk.
Designed to increase awareness and reduce stigma and misconceptions about mental health and substance abuse, the Color Walk is a free annual community event.
The Color Walk was an opportunity to experience the positive impact of physical activity and social interaction on mental wellbeing. Along the track at Eastside park, participants were covered in rainbow powder. There were booths with free games and activities to enjoy, as well as music, demonstrations, best costume and best umbrella contests, a cakewalk, giveaways, raffles, and more. By the end of the event, everyone was smiling, laughing and covered in colors.
Thank you to OBHC and all of the sponsors, volunteers, and participants who made the Color Walk possible this year!
