Harvest Happenings, vol 1

Week of September 2nd - September 6th
A NOTE FROM MS. SICKLER
What an incredible week! Our dedicated Harvest staff has gone above and beyond to ensure our students have a smooth start to the 2024-2025 school year. In classrooms, I'm witnessing students forming friendships, engaging in exciting activities, and having a blast. I'm truly thankful to our amazing Harvest families for your support at home and for following the arrival and dismissal rules along with the drop-off loop and parking lot rules. A big round of applause and Harvest 4 stickers to all of you!
On Thursday we had our first community meeting where we all joined to meet and talk about the ingredients that make a great Harvest Hornet. We talked about how when you mix kindness, empathy, listening, sharing, trust, sharing, acceptance, laughter, forgiveness, and support they create special Harvest Hornets. Thank you for sharing your Harvest Hornets with us this week. We hope you enjoy the long weekend and we can't wait to see them again on Tuesday.
Don't forget, next Thursday is Picture Day!
- Students will be called to get their photos taken with their teacher and class starting the morning of Thursday, September 5th. We schedule classes prior to specials and lunch for the most ideal photo.
- Order photos online: schoolpictures.com (use keyword: AA1205Fall24)
- School picture photographers will be back for retakes for students who are not in school on Thursday or would like to retake their photos. More information will be shared closer to the retake day.
- We will be sending our first REMIND text on Wednesday, September 4th. REMIND is a district messaging system that is used sporadically to send messages about school closures and other important messages. If you do not get a message about picture day on Wednesday, please send a message to the Harvest office (harvestoffice@salineschools.org).
