Information on After School Sports
Cerro Villa is excited to offer an after school sports program that not only offers students friendly competition with our other middle schools in OUSD, but also provides an opportunity to introduce and prepare for sports competition at the high school level.
All students are welcome to try-out for after school sports. In order to participate, athletes must complete the required paperwork and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA to participate in games. OUSD Middle School Sports program is a high competitive program. For sports which have a large number of students looking to compete, a try-out process will be established with the maximum number of students allowed for the sport continuing on for competitive play.
Information about try-outs, team formation and other details about each seasonal sport will be given during P.E. class and important updates and meetings information are also made during our daily announcements.
Game schedules are posted on our calendar and are subject to change depending on air quality and/or weather conditions.

Cerro Villa will offer Intramural Soccer play for students who do not make the A or B team, but would like to continue fine tuning their soccer skills and playing in tournament style games. Intramurals will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:00 - 4:00 pm, beginning September 12th. Students will meet at the PE Building.

What is the PFSO?
The Cerro Villa Parent Faculty Student Organization (PFSO) is a non-profit organization that assists the faculty and staff in enhancing the education experiences of our children.
The PFSO assists with many programs around the school, including dances, Student of the Month, Honor Society, and the 8th Grade Promotion Party. Without your support, these events would not be possible. Most importantly, the PFSO also supports the faculty and staff at Cerro Villa in acquiring items they need for their classrooms in order to enhance our children’s educational experiences.
Our PFSO meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 8:30 a.m. in the CVMS Library.
