THE PATRIOT PARENT CONNECTION
2024-2025 Week of November 4, 2024
Dear Patriot Students and Families,
As we move forward following the presidential election, I want to remind everyone of the importance of kindness, respect, and unity within our school community. In times like these, emotions can run high, but it’s crucial that we maintain our composure and treat one another with understanding and respect.
Taunting, harassing remarks, or any behavior that divides us have no place in our school. We are committed to keeping our environment safe, welcoming, and supportive for everyone. The outcome of the election does not change our mission here at school. We are here to love one another, stand together as Patriots, and create a positive and productive space for learning and growth. Let’s continue to support each other and move forward with respect and compassion.
Thank you for your commitment to upholding our values and for helping us foster a strong, unified community.
Love,
LMS Admin

Student Voice MATTERS!
We are excited to announce that the administration and support teams will be meeting with students in each grade level to gather valuable insights about their experiences at Liberty Middle School.
These meetings will provide an opportunity for students to share their perspectives on what they like about our school, what they would like to see changed, and how the school environment makes them feel. We met with students last year and received valuable information about our schedules, extracurriculars, feelings of safety, and more. Our groups are culturally diverse, and we value all voices and behaviors as we aim to enhance our school community.
Students invited to the group will have passes that they will receive in their Patriot-Time classes the morning of their assigned grade level meeting. We are so excited to hear from our students. Their voice MATTERS!
New Students to LMS...Welcome HOME
The counseling team is excited to announce that they will be hosting welcome meetings for all students new to Liberty, who have joined after the start of the year. It is crucial to make our new students feel welcomed, as this helps them build connections, boosts their confidence, and fosters a sense of belonging. A positive start can significantly impact their academic and social success at Liberty Middle. These sessions will include a light breakfast and provide an opportunity for students to connect and feel at home in our school community.
Meeting Dates:
- 6th Grade: Friday, November 1st
- 7th Grade: Wednesday, November 6th
- 8th Grade: Friday, November 8th
We are Excited to Announce...
Midterm Exam Schedule is HERE
Liberty put together this midterm schedule, so no student has more than two exams on any given day. Additionally, we wanted to get this schedule out to you ASAP so you can make travel plans around these dates. We know some of our families will take advantage of extended vacation time during the holiday season, so we want our community to be aware of how Liberty will handle exams outside the midterm window. We will NOT allow students to take exams early. If a student misses an exam, then he/she may take the missed exam on Friday, January 3rd. Please make arrangements with your child's teacher to attend this make-up session.
Out of District Request - OOD
Out-of-district requests for the 2025 - 2026 school year will continue to be available through November 29, 2024. The November 29th deadline does not apply to employees of Forsyth County Schools or families moving into or within Forsyth County.
