Attendance Information:
All absences must be entered through the Parent Portal.
Click here for more information, including directions on how to upload a student absence: Managing Student Attendance.
As we begin the 2024-25 school year, CBSD wishes to remind families of important information regarding attendance. Pennsylvania's school laws, like Act 138 of 2016 and the updated Act 16, outline what is required for mandatory school attendance and procedures to follow when students are absent or late. Learn more.
Early Dismissal for Appointments:
Student dismissal begins promptly at 3:15PM.
If you need to pick your child up early for an appointment, please pick them up no later then 2:45PM. After 2:45PM, your child can be dismissed with the other walkers, bus riders, and car riders in his/her classroom to ensure a safe and efficient dismissal for everyone. Thank you!
Volunteering Information:
To volunteer at a class party or chaperone a field trip, your clearances must be up-to-date & on file with Central Bucks School District.
If your clearances are current, upload them into the App Garden - Volunteer Tracker. If your clearances have expired, or you need to begin the clearance process, click on the Required Documents for the directions. For more information, consult the Human Resources Volunteer Required Paperwork webpage.
2025 Gayman Elementary Science Fair:
Calling all scientists! Consider participating in our Science Fair on Thursday, February 6th 5:30-7:00 PM by completing a project individually, with sibling(s), or with partners. Projects must be dropped off on Wednesday, February 5th 4:00-5:00. The Science Fair is a great way for all Gayman students to come together and share our learning and love for science! Click here to sign up by Friday, December 6th. Each participant needs to complete the contract in Forms, even if working in a group. For details, click here to view the informational packet.
If you would like to order a trifold through Gayman for $6.00, log into My Payments Plus and search “Science Fair Trifold order form”. Orders are due Friday, December 13th.
We can’t wait to see your projects this year!
Season of Giving:
Each year during the holidays, our community has generously supported Gayman families in need. This year, we are asking our Gayman community to choose a tag from our tree, which is displayed in the front hallway. – You may help by purchasing a gift card for the store your tag indicates-either Walmart, Target, Kohls, or Amazon. Please bring the gift cards to the office by Friday, December 13th, labeled with the value of each giftcard.
We, as a staff, would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your generosity! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to set an example for children to bring joy to others.
Warmest holiday wishes to you and your family,
The Staff of Gayman Elementary School
**Tags will be available later this week.
Thank you, Support Staff:
November 20th is National Support Staff Day, a special day to thank all the amazing people who help our school run smoothly. From our custodians who keep our school clean, to our cafeteria staff who provide us with nutritious meals, our office staff who keep everything organized, and classroom staff who help us learn. We are so grateful for everything you do to support us. Thank you for your hard work, kindness, and dedication!
