Girls With P.E.A.R.L.S. Monthly Activity: P-Peseverance (Due the week of September 18th)
Throughout the school year on every Tuesday, girls are encouraged to wear pearls (pearl earrings, necklace, bracelets of any color) to school. Also, each word in Girls with P.E.A.R.L.S. will be highlighted along with an activity for the girls to participate in. The first word is:
Perseverance: noun. continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties
Activity Options:
Picture It: Perseverance (Kindergarten-1st Grade): Students can draw a picture, paint a picture, cut out magazine letters and magazine pictures to show what persevering looks like. (Remember…perseverance is to try your best even though something is hard).
Perseverance Vision/Goal Boards (2nd Grade-4th Grade): Students can create vision/goal boards using poster boards, markers, crayons, colored pencils, drawings, magazines, foam letters, glitter, etc. and create a board full of goals that they have for the school year. These goals should include anything that they feel they will need to persevere through.
*Please bring all pictures and vision/goal boards to school on Sept. 18th.During an All Girl Morning Meeting, we will discuss and showcase these pictures and vision/goal boards and talk about what it means to Persevere.
