Our very own Samantha Dauterman, a shining example of dedication and service, has made a significant decision to serve our country, and we couldn't be prouder. Samantha had the distinct honor of representing Goshen High School at the prestigious Military Signing Day, held at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus. This event is a testament to Samantha's unwavering commitment to serve in the U.S. military and her exceptional leadership qualities.
Not only was Samantha selected as one of the speakers for this esteemed event, but she also represented our school community with grace and distinction. Her presence showcased the values of service and dedication that are deeply rooted in the fabric of Goshen High School. National Honor Society News: NHS is hosting a coin drive next week during fifth bell to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The fifth bell that raises the most will receive an ice cream party. All funds raised helps fund research to end blood cancers. Any amount helps! Thanks for your support.
West Point’s Summer Leaders Experience (SLE):
What is SLE?
- SLE is a one-week program for current Juniors (High School Class of 2025) to visit West Point in June.
- Students in this program get to spend the week with our cadets, live in the barracks, and eat in the mess hall.
- Learn about West Point’s world class academics by trying 5 of our 17 academic workshops.
- Learn about military training and becoming a Leader of Character at West Point by completing two military days to include rappelling, Zodiac boats, combatives (like Jiu-Jitsu) training and more!
- Challenge themselves physically by attempting the Candidate Fitness Assessment, conducting physical training, and sports.
- Complete their admissions interview with a cadet.
- Spend the week making friends with other students from all over the US who are applying to West Point.
Students may sign up for this program now by using the QR code in the attached “2024 SLE FLYER” or directly at westpoint.edu. The priority application deadline for SLE is the following Friday on March 15th and we will accept applications until April 15th. SLE is competitive and not all who apply are offered to attend.

TOOLS Scholarship Information:
TOOLS Scholarship Information: Do you plan on going into a trade after graduation? If so, please contact me to get you applied for the TOOLS scholarship where you can earn an amount between $500-$2500!! The best part... YOU DON'T HAVE TO WRITE AN ESSAY OR HAVE THE BEST GPA TO APPLY! To apply you have to create up to a 90-second video answering the following 3 questions and filling out basic information about your contact info. and where you will post the video. The questions that you will have to answer in the video are; Create a short video -up to 90 seconds. Please be sure to answer the follow questions in your video: Why you want to pursue a career in Construction? How did you become interested in construction? How do you plan on using the scholarship funds? The requirements to apply are listed below: All entrants must be enrolled as a high school senior and will graduate in the current school year. This scholarship can be used to fund continuing education programs at a trade school, technical school, community college, 2 or 4-year university, or purchase tools of the trade. Exciting Paid Summer Internship Opportunity for Goshen Students!
Are you a Goshen High School student with a passion for technology? Do you want to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field while getting paid for your efforts? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Goshen Local Schools is offering a paid summer internship for high school students interested in Informational Technology. As part of our technology team, you'll have the chance to support various operations, manage student and staff accounts, and get involved in desktop and wireless infrastructure projects across the school district.
**Internship Details:**
- **Position**: Informational Technology Intern
- **Employment Status**: Part-time, entry-level position for Goshen High School Students
- **Duration**: Limited period of time
- **Requirements**: Must be a student in good academic standing, with good attendance and punctuality, and a willingness to learn and work independently
- **Application Deadline**: March 22nd
**Concurrent Program with University of Cincinnati and Intel:**
As an added bonus, interns will also have the opportunity to participate in a concurrent program with the University of Cincinnati and Intel. This program offers specialized training in the semiconductor field, including online modules and in-person clean room training at UC. Successful completion of the program results in an industry credential and may qualify students for scholarships and potential employment opportunities.

Provide the details requested below for every awarded scholarship that you have received from all colleges and/or organizations. Even if you are not accepting the scholarship (i.e. you will not be attending the university that offered the scholarship), please still list each one so that we are able to see how much total money has been offered to our Class of 2024!
