Message From Principal Staten: Welcome Back to School!
Greeting Parents,
I just wanted to welcome you again to another great school year! It is with great pride that we embark on another year in which we will continue to excel in student achievement. The first four weeks of school has truly been a blessing. It has been great to see our students enter into our building with great smiles and leave for the day with even a greater smile.
Everyday it is our mission to provide a safe learning environment for our students. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the students, parents, and citizens of Uvalde, Tx. NO parent should ever endure the heart and loss of such a senseless act. It is our priority to ensure that all students and staff are safe while here at Moss Elementary. Please note that all staff members are expected to help ensure that all parties are safe which includes but not limited to ensuring that all doors are locked. This task is not just for one person but for all. All visitors must come through the front door of the building and check in with the front office. Each month, we practice our safety drills to ensure that everyone is on the same page if an emergency occurs.
I, thank you, parents for understanding the importance of why we ask for the students to walk to class independently. Before we can teach any subject, we must ensure that we have a safe environment FIRST! If you have a suggestion or see anything that poses a safety threat, please let us know immediately so that we can rectify the issue in a timely manner.
Again, thank you so much for being such an intricate part of our school's success!
