Hampden Academy One of Eight Maine Public High Schools Named to AP Honor Roll
Dear HA Community:
I'm proud to announce that Hampden Academy was recently named to the AP School Honor Roll for the 2023-24 school year. The AP Honor Roll honors schools that demonstrate a clear and effective commitment to equitable access to advanced coursework.
For a school to be recognized on the AP School Honor Roll, it must be located within the United States (including U.S. territories) or Canada and meet each of the following criteria:
College Culture: 40% or more of graduating cohort took at least 1 AP Exam during high school.
College Credit: 25% or more of the graduating cohort scored a 3 or higher on at least 1 AP Exam during high school.
College Optimization: 2% or more of the graduating cohort took 5 or more AP Exams during high school.
This recognition highlights the dedication of our students and teachers and underscores HA's commitment to providing challenging coursework for all students.
With Thanksgiving next week, it's a great time to pause and appreciate the people and moments that make life special. Wishing everyone in our HA community a holiday filled with good food, laughter, and gratitude!
Have a great Thanksgiving!

Class of 2025
Update for Senior Parents
Planning is underway for the Class of 2025 Project Graduation celebration!
A long-standing tradition, Project Grad provides a safe, drug-free environment for students to celebrate with friends. It’s a parent-sponsored event which takes place the night of graduation, typically starting in the evening and going into the early hours of the next morning.
The Project Grad committee is asking parents to contribute $120 per student (or 2 payments of $60 each). Checks should be made out to HA Class of 2025 Project Graduation, with your child’s name placed in the subject line, and dropped off at the HA Front Office.
Follow us on Facebook at Hampden Academy Project Graduation 2025 to stay up-to-date on meeting dates, fundraising opportunities, and other communication.
