A Message from Ms. Peterson
Hello MCP3 Families!
MCP3 scholars have been practicing for this Friday's Winter Program! I am excited for them all to be able share their hard work with you. Here are the details for Frida's program for MCP3:
Our program is this Friday, December 20th @ 9:00am. Our program will be held in the North Gym and families will be asked to enter the gym from the doors off of the playground. It will be approximately 30 minutes long so make sure to be on time so you don't miss it! Scholars will have the opportunity to present a song as a class to celebrate the Holiday season and should come dressed in their class' themed attire (see below).
- Alabama Elephants- Red & Black Dress Attire
- Florida Gators- Red or Green top w/ Black bottoms
- Grambling Tigers- Red, White, or Green
- A&T Bulldogs- Red or White Shirt w/ Black bottoms
- Golden Eagles- Green tops w/ Black Bottoms
*After the program, ALL scholars must walk back to the classrooms with their teacher and class. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR SCHOLAR FROM THEIR LINE AS TEACHERS ARE WALKING THEM BACK TO CLASS. Scholars will not be able to be signed out from the gym as we need to ensure all scholars are accounted for. If you plan to take your scholar after the program, you may sign them out from the classroom after ALL classes have been dismissed from the gym and are walked with their teacher back to MCP3. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding that safety is our number one priority!

Information will begin to roll out to our K4-8th grade MCP families about re-enrollment. Our K3 scholars do NOT re-enroll into K4. K3 scholars will need to Enroll (as a NEW student during open enrollment) into K4 starting February 1st. K3 families are encouraged to tour the 4 different MCP campuses in January to see which one would be best for their scholar(s). If you would like to set up a visit to tour the campuses, please reach out to Lisa Goodman our parent liaison @ lisa.goodman@mkeprep.com.
More information regarding New Student Open Enrollment will be sent out to K3 parents in January.

YMCA Before Care for K4-8th grade
The YMCA will begin before care at the 4 MCP campuses for K4-8th grade when we return from break. K3 scholars are NOT allowed to register for the YMCA before care program due to licensing. MCP3 does NOT offer before care at this time and scholars will continue to be welcomed into classrooms starting at 7:30am. The YMCA before care for K4-8th grade, however, will be using the main entrance for the YMCA Early Childcare Center and MCP3.

Theme #4: Safe and Healthy Me
Week 4- Active Me
Three-year-olds love to run, climb, jump and spin at every opportunity. Their desire to move makes this a great time to encourage fitness habits that will last a lifetime. Regular exercise helps children grow, builds strong muscles and bones, develops important motor skills, and boosts self-esteem. This week, we will learn why it is important to get moving!

exercise, active, dawdle, delay, gump, clump, tizzy
