Headteacher's Bulletin

Highlights of the week
Firstly, I would like to commend our Year 11 students for their unwavering dedication as they continue to work diligently on their exams. Their perseverance is truly commendable, and we are confident that their hard work will yield excellent results. We are looking forward to having their leavers assembly on Thursday 13th June and we will begin study leave immediately afterwards bringing it forward by 2 days.
With the warm weather gracing us, the school has been buzzing with a unique blend of excitement and mystery. Recently, you may have seen some spooky clues and heard eerie tannoy messages echoing through our halls. These intriguing elements appear to be originating from our Drama and Music departments. I encourage all students to keep their eyes peeled for more clues and to engage in deciphering the spooky messages. Rest assured, more will be revealed in due course!
This month, we are also celebrating PRIDE with a strong emphasis on inclusivity and love. It is a wonderful opportunity for us to reinforce our commitment to creating an environment where every student feels valued and respected.
In addition, we wish our 17 students embarking on the Duke of Edinburgh expedition to the Chiltern Hills the very best. This expedition is a testament to their adventurous spirit and dedication, and we look forward to hearing about their experiences.
Our spike ball team is also gearing up for a tournament today. We extend our best wishes to them for a successful and enjoyable competition.
Lastly, we take a moment to commemorate Paige Connor, an ex-student who sadly passed away five years ago. Paige's mum and Paige's friends and teachers will have a small annual ceremony this evening in Paige's memory. Paige continues to inspire us, and we honour her legacy within our school community.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Together, we will continue to foster an environment where our students can aspire, achieve, and enjoy.

As the new school year approaches, many families in our community face challenges in affording school uniforms. If you have any pre-loved uniform items that are still in good condition but no longer needed, please drop them off at the school reception. Your generous donation can help ensure every child starts the year with confidence and pride.
Richmond Rhythm and Dance competition
We were proud to host 76 incredibly skilled dancers yesterday evening, welcoming a full audience of families and schools from our wider community to enjoy a celebration of dance in our borough. Dancers from Springwell, Heathfield, Hampton, Twickenham and Boundless dance groups created and performed routines for a panel of judges, who provide thoughtful and motivating feedback. We were proud to take home the 3rd place trophy and look forward to working hard for the next competition opportunity.

Additionally, we witnessed two thrilling matches featuring the U13 Boys' Cricket team against Teddington School and the U13 Girls' Cricket team against Christ School. Both matches were closely contested, highlighting the competitive spirit of our students.
It is also fantastic to see a high number of students attending Tennis Club on Mondays. The enthusiasm and participation are commendable.
As we prepare for the Richmond Borough Athletics event on Wednesday, 26 June, it has been wonderful to see so many students committed to Athletics Club.
