Friday is our Color Run fundraiser (weather permitting)! We are excited for this new event! Friday is an early release day for students and we are off next week for Thanksgiving! We hope everyone has a great week with their families and a very happy Thanksgiving! We are so grateful to spend each day with your wonderful children!

We are starting to prepare for our annual Fund Run. Fundraising starts November 6, 2023 with our run taking place on November 17, 2023. This year we will be having a Color Run, where all students will run at a designated time on the half day.

All proceeds from this event will be used to purchase new playground equipment for our school!

All forms are located on the website under Parents>Forms/Info. It is mandatory that any student needing to receive medications during school hours have a Medical Authorization Form filled out including the physician’s signature. This applies to both prescribed and over-the-counter medications. The medicines must only be received in the original container, which is clearly labeled with the child’s name and the medication name, dose and frequency. All medicines are kept in the school clinic. Any medication received without the original container, proper labeling or completed forms will be the responsibility of the parent to administer in school. Any medicine or medical equipment necessary to leave on school property is the sole responsibility of the parent. Students are permitted to carry and self-administer inhalers once the Parental Authorization for Student to Self-Medicate via Prescription Inhaler form is received. Also available is the Release and Waiver of Liability Regarding Children with Severe Medical Conditions form for Epinephrine and other qualifying medical conditions. Students are never permitted to carry any type of medication at school other than inhalers (ex: medicinal creams, cough drops, etc.). At school year-end, medicines not picked up by parents will be discarded.

The steps to the process are as follows:

1. Visit us! Attend OPEN HOUSE ON NOVEMBER 5, schedule a tour, register for Crusader for a Day!
2. Gather Documents. The following documents are required for the application to be considered complete: birth certificate, 7th and 8th grade report cards to date, Immunization record (DH 680). Additional documents: Baptism, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation certificate, if applicable.
3. Apply Online. The application will open on October 25 and the deadline is January 17.
4. High School Placement Test. All 9th grade applicants are required to take the HSPT as part of the admissions process. The link to register for this test will be sent in the confirmation email once the application is submitted. Two testing dates will be offered on December 2 and January 20 – students may only take this test once.
5. Interview. An interview may be required as part of the admissions process.
6. Admissions Decision. Students will be notified of their decision by the end of February.
7. Enroll!

-The UV index, or ultra violet index, is a measurement scale of the amount of UV radiation that reaches the Earth’s surface. The UV index changes throughout the day, throughout our seasons;, and across the world. The higher the UV index, the greater importance there is to protect your skin.

-The UV index helps us better protect ourselves from harmful UV rays.

-A higher UV index indicates a greater risk of sunburn and other sun-related problems.

-Check the UV index before going outside to gauge the sun’s intensity with apps, websites or local news outlets.

PCA uses a Virtues in Practice Program. Each month we focus on a specific virtue and different grade levels learn about a saint who exemplifies that virtue. At the end of month, there will be a family assignment to complete about the virtue.

November's virtue of the month is HUMILITY . Humility is accepting your limitations and God-given talents.
