WELCOME TO THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR!

We are so happy to see many old faces in our building, as well as, welcoming many new students, staff, & faculty to our Mary Bryan family.

We have some policy changes that are now in effect for our building. Please note the following:

1. You must have a car rider tag displayed in your vehicle to pick up your child in the car rider line at the end of the day. If you do not have a tag you must park & come into the front office. You may request car tags through the front office. You may also call Mrs. Terra Weddell @ 317)789*2609 or email your request to tweddell@perryschools.org.
2. Changes to afternoon transportation for your student MUST be made to the front office no later than 2:00. Busing is very full this year and we have to call the transportation office to get permission for a student to ride the bus with an approved family member/friend.
3. As always, please make sure you have your ID to pick up your children.
4. Make sure you send your children to school with a reusable water bottle. Fill up stations are located throughout the building.

This week, packets were sent home with all students for our Fall Fundraiser. All order forms and money are due to be turned into the school on Friday, September 8th.

Please make sure you have your ID so the office is able to create you a badge to wear while in our building. No outside food (fast food) is allowed. Cash/check only. The lunch times are listed below.

• individually packaged snacks (goldfish, peanut butter crackers, Red Bird soft peppermint puffs, pop tarts, nutri-grain bars, etc.)

September is National Attendance Awareness Month! Here at Mary Bryan, we know every school day counts. Every day our students are learning all day long. Studies have shown that missing ONE day of school can put students TWO days behind. It is important for your child’s academic success that he or she be here EVERY possible day.

If your child needs to miss school for any reason, please call the attendance line at (317) 789-2602.

This month, we started teaching the Second Steps program here at Mary Bryan Elementary. This well-regarded social emotional curriculum is providing our students with foundational skills of empathy, growth mindset, goal setting, emotion management, and problem solving. Regular classroom lessons, songs, videos, and activities help our student learn and practice their skills every day.
