What is Host Homes? Youth identify a host who can provide affirming, stable short-term housing. Host Homes provides case management, supportive services, and financial assistance to youth and host for a period of 1-6 months. All shelter, outreach, and coordinated entry providers can help with interest forms and the intake process.
Eligibility requirements for youth:
- Youth ages 16-24 (single youth or pregnant/parenting youth)
- For youth ages 16-17, consent from a parent or guardian is required to participate in this program.
- Youth must be literally homeless, at risk or homelessness, or fleeing an unsafe situation (Category 1, 2, or 4)
- Youth have identified a supportive adult (over age 18) willing to host
- Host must reside within Kent Co.
- Requirements for hosts:
- Be a supportive adult (over age 18) willing to host
- Have a photo ID and social security card
- Be willing to complete training with Arbor Circle
