Gahanna Lincoln High School
2024-2025
A Message from Mrs. Williams
What a fantastic start to the school year! Our first two days last week were absolutely incredible, and I’m thrilled to share some of the wonderful things I saw happening around the building.
From classrooms buzzing with excitement to students diving into the new bell schedule, the energy was contagious. I saw students making new friends, teachers engaging students in creative ways, and everyone working together to create a positive and welcoming environment. It was truly heartwarming to witness the enthusiasm and curiosity radiating from every corner of our school.
As we gear up for our first full week, we’re ready to keep this momentum going! It’s going to be an exciting week filled with learning, growth, and new opportunities. To help your student have the best year possible, I encourage you to start setting consistent routines at home. Whether it’s establishing a bedtime, setting aside time for homework, or organizing school materials the night before, these small steps can make a big difference in helping your student succeed.
We’re all in this together, and I’m so excited to see what we’ll accomplish as a school community. Looking forward to a great week ahead.

IMPORTANT: Homecoming 2024
As we approach our much-anticipated Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 14, I want to ensure that all students are able to fully enjoy this special event. However, it's crucial that we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students at all times.
Any student who does not have an updated Emergency Medical Authorization Form on file will not be permitted to purchase tickets to the Homecoming Dance. This form is essential, as it provides us with vital information needed in case of any emergencies that may arise during school events.
To avoid your student not being able to attend the Homecoming Dance, we encourage you to take the following steps as soon as possible:
- Log in to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal: Click here to log in to your Parent Portal account.
- Click MORE in the left hand column
- Click Online Registration from choices on the right
- Click on "Start" next to "Existing Student Registration"
If you need a visual step-by-step guide for how to complete this process, please click here.
Please note that students who do not have this form updated and on file will not be allowed to purchase tickets to the Homecoming Dance, so I urge you to take care of this requirement promptly. It takes 24-48 hours from completion of the form for it to show as updated in our system.
The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, September 14, 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
We appreciate your attention to this important matter and look forward to seeing our students enjoy a fun and safe Homecoming Dance.

GLHS Cell Phone Policy
All students will be required to keep their cell phones and other personal electronic devices (including AirPods, earbuds, Bluetooth headphones/speakers, connected watches, etc.) securely stored in their lockers or backpacks while in class. Students will only be permitted to use their cell phones and other personal electronic devices in the hallways during transitions, study halls, and in the cafeteria during lunch.
If a cell phone, AirPods, etc, are out during class time, the staff member will take the device and turn it over to the office immediately. Parents or guardians will be contacted and the student may pick up the device from the main office at the end of the school day. For any additional infractions, parents will be notified to retrieve the phone from the main office, it will not be given back to the student. There may be additional consequences for repeated violations of this policy. Students were reminded about this policy last week during their class meetings.
We believe that this policy will contribute significantly to the academic performance and overall well-being of our students. I kindly request your support and cooperation in reinforcing this policy at home and discussing its importance with your child.
