Spiritual guides are vital beacons of light on the spiritual path, and once a person becomes spiritually mature, they naturally begin to serve as spiritual mentors for others.
—Lerita Coleman Brown
Thank you for all your kindness, help and support this term. Best wishes to you and yours for a really lovely holiday. See you back on deck on Monday October 7.
Best wishes

Parking Etiquette
We only had a few issues with upset neighbours last year, and we are very mindful of the need not to increase the issues and the angst. On Tuesday a near neighbour reports that parents are pulling up in front of her driveway to drop off their child, while she is trying to take her own children to school. This is also a safety concern for our children. Please ensure you are using the kiss and drive at the hall or parking in a car bay.
Night of the Notables
This week our amazing Year 5 students took showcased their talents in the Night of the Notables! These students have worked tirelessly over the term, studying their chosen person and learning about the positive impacts they have made on society. After 9 weeks of work, the Year 5s final task was to embody their notable figure and deliver a speech to a crowd of parents and teachers. All our students did an amazing job and should be so proud of themselves! A special thank you to Miss O’Neill and Miss Cornwall for all their hard work in preparing their students so well.
Holy Rosary Primary School Athletics Carnival - A Day to Remember!
🏅 What an incredible day at Friday's Athletics Carnival! 🏅 It was wonderful to see students from Pre-Primary to Year Six having fun and cheering each other on. A huge thank you to Mr Flexman, our amazing parent volunteers, our dedicated staff, and most of all, our superstar students for making it such a memorable event!
💚Congratulations to Green faction for taking out first place! 💚
On Friday, September 13, Holy Rosary Primary School held its much-anticipated Athletics Carnival, and what a fantastic day it was! Blessed with fabulous fine weather, the smiles and positive energy of the students, staff, and families made it a truly unforgettable event.
The carnival saw fierce yet friendly competition between the school factions, with Green Faction emerging victorious, taking first place with an impressive 8,715 points. Red Faction followed in second with 7,999 points, while Gold Faction claimed third with 7,304 points. Blue Faction fought hard and finished in fourth place with 6,661 points.
A special congratulations to all the champion and runner-up boys and girls, whose amazing performances were a highlight of the day. Each and every participant gave their best, and the spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship shone brightly throughout the carnival.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the parent helpers, dedicated staff, and enthusiastic students who made the day run smoothly and ensured it was a great success. Your efforts truly brought the community together, and we couldn’t have done it without you!
The next stop will be the CPSSA A Division Athletics Carnival on October 24 at the State Athletics Stadium. I will post the interschool squad and training times for next term in the holidays on Seesaw. Just a reminder there is no Triathlon Training in Week 1 Term 4. It starts again in Week 2.
Kind regards,
Rob Flexman

A wonderful last week of term in library – we enjoyed reading and relaxing in our library sessions. If your child has a lost or damaged book, please purchase a new copy over the holidays. At the moment we have over 60 students with overdue books, and it would be wonderful to start Term 4 with all books replaced and ready to be catalogued for 2025. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yesterday, we celebrated our last Year 5 Book Club with a party and a birthday!!

“‘Why did you do all this for me?’ he asked. ‘I don’t deserve it. I’ve never done anything for you.’ 'You have been my friend,’ replied Charlotte. 'That in itself is a tremendous thing.’” —Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White
I hope all students enjoyed PJ and movie day for the last day of term. Huge thanks to Miss Rees and her Year 6 Pastoral Care group for organising this fun event.

Holy Rosary Netball Club Award
Every year PNA award Club of the Year awards. Holy Rosary Netball Club was awarded the large Primary School Club award.
This award aims to reward club behaviour and governance. The criteria for scoring/losing points are:
1. Code of Behaviour - breaches
2. Fines
3. Financial - timely payment of invoices
4. Accreditation of Coaches
5. Umpires - completing Rules Theory exam, Green shirt Umpires participation
6. Attendance at PNA meetings
Well done to all of you! Many thanks to Michelle, Pip and Leah for collating the information on Umpires and Coaches as this was required to be considered for this award.
The support and assistance you have all provided to coaches, managers, umpires, players, and parents this 2024 netball season has been very much appreciated and if it was not for all of you volunteering your time, the season would not have run smoothly, and this achievement would not have been made possible.
Parent Volunteer Declaration
Please click on the link below and complete the declaration form - it will take you 10 seconds. Every parent volunteering in a school in any capacity is required to complete this. Thank you.
