Eclipse 4-8-24
Please make sure you complete this in order for your student to participate!
As a district we will be viewing the eclipse on April 8th. However, each student will need a permission form signed in order to participate. Please click on this link https://www.smore.com/n/u7q8t0 to read the information and get the permission form.
NSCAS Testing
During the month of April WMS students will participate in the Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System Tests (NSCAS). These tests will be given in during class time with no special bell schedule. Please avoid making appointments during these times and make sure your student has a charged iPad when the come to school.
Science. (8th Grade only) - April 10-12
Language Arts - April 16-19
Math - April 30- May 2
Order Your WMS Yearbook Now!
Here is a link and a QR code to purchase the 23-24 Yearbook. The deadline is Friday, April 19th! Please make sure you order one, as we do not order extras to sell at the end of the year.
Thanks to our Community Club, we will be having a celebration for our 8th graders before they leave WMS. 8th Grade students who meet the following criteria will have the opportunity to attend this event
- Must be a Westside Middle School 8th Grader
- Zero out of school suspensions
- No more than 3 major referrals
- No more than 5 lates to class
- Must be passing all classes
We will be tracking these things between March 4- April 26th.
Look for more information from our Community Club on how. you can help out with this event.
8th Grade Career Day
When: Friday morning, May 10, 2024
Who: 8th Grade Students (Bus transportation provided)
Where: Westside Middle School
Why: Increase awareness about career interests!
Important Info.! Professionals will share firsthand information about their careers. Students will also become familiar with the Westside High School service learning requirement.
