Scholarship Spotlight
Levi Wallance Foundation Scholarship
The LW Foundation will award two scholarships in the amount of $5,000, with $2,500 awarded for the 2025 Fall Semester and the remaining $2,500 will be given for the 2026 Spring/Winter Semester, if the student maintains a 3.0 grade point average at the end of the fall semester.
Requirements:
To qualify for the Levi Wallace Foundation Scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
- be a senior student graduating from a high school in the Tucson surrounding area.
- hold a minimum high school cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
- be a United States citizen.
- be enrolled full-time at a 2-year or 4-year accredited college/university or trade school within the United States.
About the Essay:
The scholarship essay should not exceed more than 500 words and should be double-spaced. Please include your full name, mailing address, email address, and phone number in the top left corner of the essay.
Submit the essay, copy of your high school transcript, and copy of acceptance letter from college or trade school below by the deadline of April 25th, 2025 at 5:00pm MST

What you need to fill out your FAFSA:
You might need the following information or documents as you fill out the FAFSA form:
Your parents’ SSNs if they have SSNs and you're a dependent student
Tax returns
Records of child support received
Current balances of cash, savings, and checking accounts
Net worth of investments, businesses, and farms
Keep these records! You may need them again. Do not mail these supporting records to us unless otherwise instructed to do so.
University of Arizona - New Start
For 50 years, the New Start Summer Program has been offering new Wildcats the opportunity to get a head start on their college degree while getting to know the UA campus and meeting new people.
By participating in New Start, you will:
- Earn 6-7 units of academic credit
- Get connected with returning Wildcats who not long ago were in your shoes
- Meet hundreds of other new UA students
You'll get connected with faculty, learn about what UA has to offer, get crucial advice from peer mentors and resident assistants, and academic support from tutors. By the time you complete New Start, you'll be a half a semester closer to your degree! You will feel like a UA expert ready for your first year, and will meet some of the best friends you'll ever have!
