February is here, bringing with it a season of love and family fun—perfect for creating lasting memories with your loved ones. We're excited to share all the wonderful growth happening within our community, from new opportunities for students to expand their horizons to exciting developments that are making our community stronger than ever. As we look ahead to the 2025-2026 school year, now is the time to make enrollment decisions for preschool and kindergarten, setting the stage for a successful journey ahead. A Velentine's Weekend Celebration for Families!

Celebrate love with the whole family at our Valentine’s Celebration! Join us for a Sweetheart Dance for young children featuring a DJ, fun games, crafts, and cookie decorating—plus, pizza will be available for purchase! Then, older kids can splash into fun at our Valentine’s Pool Party with heart-themed games, prizes, and more! Snacks and beverages will be provided. Bring your friends, and make this Valentine’s weekend unforgettable!

Bluejacket Education Foundation Grants Awarded.

The Bluejacket Education Foundation (BJEF) invests in Cambridge-Isanti students by funding educational and enrichment opportunities. This year, BJEF awarded its largest grants yet, supporting eight applicants focused on enhancing student experiences. We are grateful to be part of a community that values and supports student growth and success.

Non-school days are approaching.

School will not be in session February 14 and 17, March 7-14, and April 18 and 21. View the full 2024-2025 School Calendar. The 2025-2026 School Calendar is also available.

Kindergarten enrollment is now open.

At Cambridge-Isanti Schools, we understand the importance of the kindergarten year in your child’s education. We are committed to helping each child discover their unique strengths in a caring, respectful, and safe environment.

We offer a variety of options to meet the diverse needs of all students: 1) Choose your neighborhood school - Cambridge or Isanti Primary, 2) C-I STEAM School with an innovative science, math, and technology focus, 3) C-I Schools Online for a more flexible, learn from home option. Preschool registration is open.

We offer specialized classes for children ages 3 to Kindergarten, with flexible options of 2, 3, or 5 days per week, available in both full-day and half-day schedules. For more details, visit https://earlychildhood.c-ischools.org/preschool.

Screen at Three!

Early Childhood Screening checks how children ages 3-4 are developing, identifying potential learning or health concerns early. It’s required by state law before kindergarten, but the best time to screen is at age 3½. Schedule online or call 763-691-6691.

Facility Task Force to kick off this week.

In January, our Strategic Plan Community Task Force reviewed 2024 progress and set priorities, focusing on a Comprehensive Facility Plan to address capacity, learning spaces, deferred maintenance, and recreation areas. The Facility Community Task Force begins work this month to explore solutions that meet the needs of students, staff, and the community. We’re excited for the future and grateful for the continued support of our parents and community.

Explore & Play (Ages 5 & under)

Can't commit to a weekly class? No worries! Explore & Play is a flexible class that lets you enjoy time in our ECFE room and play at your convenience, whenever it works best for you.

Open Swim (Families)

Come to Open Swim and make a splash with the whole family! Dive into fun in the pool - it's the perfect way to create memories together. Don’t miss out on the laughter and good times.

Koi Fish Painting (Adults)

Unleash your creativity in this Koi Fish Painting class, blending colors and exploring new techniques to create your masterpiece. With easy, step-by-step instructions, you'll have fun while learning something new!

Community Events

22nd Annual Candlelight Ski Night

Saturday, February 8, 5:30-8:00 pm

ARCC Cambridge Campus Outdoor Patio

The public is invited to join Anoka-Ramsey Community College faculty, staff, and students for an evening of skiing or hiking along two miles of candlelit trails along the Rum River. Enjoy FREE live music, s'mores, hot cocoa, sledding, games, and more!

Winter Fest

February 22, 12:00-4:00 pm

Central Green Park, 1450 East Rum River Dr., Cambridge

The Cambridge Winter Fest has FREE dog sledding, horse-drawn carriage rides, cocoa, and more! Come vote for your favorite snowman and then warm up next to a bonfire with s'mores. There will also be food trucks and live DJ.
